Story
Boy Underwater is a heartbreaking story about family, friends and secrets. And it’s very, very funny. Cymbeline has never been swimming, so he’s a bit nervous at the prospect of his first school swimming lesson. But how hard could it be? He’s Googled front crawl, and he’s found his dad’s old pair of trunks. He’s totally ready for this. But he’s not ready for an accident at the pool to reveal a family mystery that turns his life completely upside down. Only Cym and his friends can solve it because, as usual, the grown-ups aren’t telling them anything....

Story
There used to be an empty chair at the back of my class, but now a new boy called Ahmet is sitting in it. He's eight years old (just like me), but he's very strange. He never talks and never smiles and doesn't like sweets - not even lemon sherbets, which are my favourite! But the truth is, Ahmet really isn't very strange at all. He's a refugee who's run away from a war. A real one. With bombs and fires and bullies that hurt people. And the more I find out about him, the more I want to be his friend.

Story
A truly original debut novel from an extraordinarily talented new voice in children's books. Laugh, cry and wonder at this race-against-time story of a boy who travels back to 1984 to prevent a go-kart accident and save his father's life.... My dad died twice. Once when he was 39 and again four years later, when he was 12. The first time had nothing to do with me. The second time definitely did, but I would never even have been there if it hadn't been for his 'time machine'....

A Well Written Children's Book!
Jack and Beth are incredible young children, who exhibit sound judgement and decision making.
I really liked them and this book reminds me of the Newberry Awards books I used to read as a child. It was difficult to believe this was an Indie author and not one who is signed!
Although it drags in areas (it could have been the narrator - he's good, but I'm not sure if he was the best choice for a children's book) it's very solid. The characters evolve, have differences, and resolve conflicts. Loose ends are tied up eloquently, but we can hope to see Jack & Beth again!
I would definitely recommend this wholesome mystery/adventure for youngsters or to be shared as a family.

Unique story for 5th-8th graders
This is a unique story. Not children's not quite you g adult but just right there in between. luckily I have two young boys that age. They along with myself found it to be a very interesting book. The author kept up a pace that they found it interesting and were able to keep up with the narrator delivered an excellent story. I highly recommend for anyone within that age group as well as above it. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.
