This was an ok listening experience. I am a fun of Hugh Jackson and part of fee packages of books that came free via Audible.

I found Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes to be a well-written and engaging audiobook. The narration was strong, and the prose had real quality throughout. However, as a teacher, I found Jackman’s character difficult to like — his actions and outlook made him hard to sympathise with.

While the story raises important questions about power and responsibility, the occasional use of strong language felt unnecessary and out of place. I have no issue with this use of language but I think I cheapened the experience. It seemed included more for shock value than to develop the character or advance the plot. Despite this, the book is thought-provoking and well executed overall. For an hour listen it is worth it.

Listened in one go, enjoyed the story and production. Especially thought provoking, as I was in a slightly similar situation as a nearly 19 year old, so was very interested to see where it went. Jackman brought the MC to life brilliantly.

The characters were very well written, and the story was from an interesting point of view. I would’ve liked to have heard the wife’s thoughts, maybe added more characters, but it was very thought inducing ing too.
