This is one of the best romantasy book I’ve read this year. Absolutely loved it. It ended, I’m happy and nothing to be waiting to find out on the next book.

Along the book it has these little things, little elements of many Disney princess stories — a prince and princess, mirror, a red rose, poison, a Beauty and the Beast-style dance, dark vile Queen etc. — but with lots of darker elements added in: ghosts, gargoyles, witches, dark and light magic, murders, an academy, a secret society, and A LOT of mysteries to solve.

It also reminded me of Crown Me Dead by Liv Zander, while being completely different at the same time, if that makes any sense. 😂 There was also one passage that reminded me of something that happened in Fury Bound by Sable Sorensen.

I especially loved the ending of this book. It was fast-paced, and there was never a long wait for the mysteries to be solved. The author kept delivering answers while moving the story forward and introducing even more mysteries to solve, instead of taking chapters and chapters to develop the answers.

I’ve been craving a book that would give me the full story in one book, and this absolutely delivered that for me. ❤️

Beautiful story. No tears from me, but it was still very touching. I’d rate the spice at Level 1 - teenager friendly with a slow-burn romance.

Oh my, oh my! What a ride this was. From one nonsense to another we went! How many plot holes is in here, nobody knows! The main character is described as smart, yet all she does is being stupid. I don't want to spoil too much, so I won't list all the silliness of this book, but it's awhile now since I read something that contradicted itself so many times. But the narrator did a great job!
