ALL YOU WILL BE LEFT WITH IS FEAR.

Six weeks after vanishing, Sarah Langton is suddenly found - half-crazed and starved close to death.
Without a single clue, the police struggle to find answers.

But when another missing person reappears, broken by months of solitary confinement, a deadly pattern becomes terrifyingly clear: a twisted predator is driving his victims to madness.

D.C. Corcoran, still haunted by a previous case, and Dr Marie Philips, a leading criminal psychiatrist, must work together to find a link between the survivors - and unravel the deadliest of puzzles. And when another woman disappears, every second will be critical...

With a gripping hook that grabs you from the very first page, this is chilling thriller is perfect for fans of Chris Carter, M.J. Arlidge, Sharon Bolton and Fiona Cummins.

It was a really good story right up till the end which was terrible I thought

Really good but…

Would have thoroughly enjoyed this book but unfortunately my enjoyment was spoilt by absolutely unnecessary blasphemies. Why oh why do authors have to include phrases such as ‘Christ on a bicycle’
etc. There are plenty of alternative expletives that would adequately portray the character’s sentiment without a religious reference. Incidentally, having been an audible member for 10+ years and and listened to hundreds of books, I have yet to come across a reference to Gods of other religions riding around on wheels of any description.

If Only!!

I wasn’t too sure the first few chapters but I stayed with it and I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed it as it unfolded, I also highly rate the narrator, wasn’t sure how it would be without AK but I can say the narrator brought the story alive and kept me interested

Another success for Ed James

i do actually really like this book, i like the main police officer and the story was imaginative and well worded.
what i did have a problem with were some of “mistakes” a Psychologist i’d a PhD not a medical doctor, trust me most would faint.
We don’t have burley “orderly’s “ injecting people in mental distress , we have nurses and medication to help people in crisis takes a bit of time to work (even if it is referred to as rapid tranquillisation) and this isn’t just drawn up in the off chance and ready to go. Other parts were well researched so why the lazy American tropes for mental health care

Let down by errors

a complex story full of twists and turns, the police and a profiler are chasing clues to try and find who has been imprisoning three people from different walks of life who seem to have no links with each other, by doing research and chasing the clues, the reason finally becomes clear that it stems from years before with the parents of the ones who were imprisoned and the person who is seeking revenge for his own father
