My name is Nora Black, and I'm 51 years young. At least that's what I tell myself, when I'm not having hot flashes; my knees don't hurt; and I can find my reading glasses.

I'm also the proud owner of a salon called Scents & Scentsability in the small resort town of Garden Cove, where I make a cozy living selling handmade bath and beauty products. All in all, my life is pretty good.

Except for one little glitch....

Since my recent hysterectomy, where I died on the operating table, I've been experiencing what some might call paranormal activity. No, I don't see dead people, but quite suddenly I'm triggered by scents that, in their wake, leave behind these vividly intense memories. Sometimes they're unfocused and hazy, but there's no doubt, they are very, very real.

Know what else? They're not my memories. It seems I've lost a uterus and gained a psychic gift.

This was an easy listen, nothing super novel. I gave the story only 3 stars as I got annoyed with the main character at times. She could be very self-righteous and not always think before doing something crazy. This is rather common in these kinds of books, though, so some is to be expected. Even with menopause as an excuse (I know what that is like), I still could not ignore it. I might be able to forgive her and maybe get next in the series, but maybe not. I need time for that.
Great narration.
But the story was fun, the overall really easy going and entertaining.

Whimsical and has characters I can invest my time in. The narrator is great so not sure why there are bad reviews. I hope you give it a chance

You are never to old for romance People rarely change their character if know well enough deaths and red herrings cause trouble

I came to this book from the middle aged witch series by the sane author.
the characters are likeable and the story is easy to listen to and I did want to see how it concluded. The narrator, however, was difficult. she doesn't always read the sentence as I would expect to hear it. she pauses in unusual places and interrupts the flow of the text. but that might just be me being picky. Overall I am glad I stuck with it.

Glad I hadn't wasted a credit on this and downloaded free. Terrible narration and even worse storyline
