For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

In Hyperfocus, Chris Bailey - described by TED.com as 'the most productive man you could ever hope to meet' - provides profound insights into how we can best manage our attention. He reveals how the brain switches between two mental modes - hyperfocus, our deep concentration mode, and scatterfocus, our creative, reflective mode - and how the surest path to being our most creative and efficient selves at work is to combine them both.

This is the age of addiction, a condition so epidemic, so all encompassing and ubiquitous, that unless you are fortunate enough to be an extreme case, you probably don't know that you have it. What unhealthy habits and attachments are holding your life together? Are you unconsciously dependent on food? Bad relationships? A job that doesn't fulfill you? Numb, constant perusal of your phone, looking for what? My qualification for writing this book is not that I am better than you, it's that I am worse.

For a long time, I found myself possessing the majority of those traits. I thought, "This is just who I am. I can't change that." Wrong. So Wrong. Most of these traits were handed to me, and probably you too, without request. With the way our society is organized (media, school, parents, etc.), these character traits proliferate. However, it wasn't until I started Un-Learning, that I truly became the well-rounded confident man I am today. Free and fulfilled in ways you can't currently imagine.

It may help others but I didn't find it useful.
The author seems to have grabbed many resources on assertiveness, one's self-confidence, and self-esteem. From the reading of this text, it seems he is knowledgeable in some things. Listening to it, twice, i'm not able to take much away from it. The text does have some suggestions but they just seem to be paraphrased bullet lists that were found on the internet. Further, I'm not sure this text is worth 1 Audible credit, or it's list price for that matter. It seems that realistically this should have been turned into some kind of podcast series and put on iTunes for 99 cents. In the end, it may help others but I didn't find it entirely useful.

This book could be a life changing
I'm a guy who barely reads, that's why I chose audio books. I'm glad that I got the chance to listens to this amazing book.
for someone with a low to medium level of self steam and right on the edge to fall of, take the exit or stay on the path to success. gess what? I know my self better know and that's and exaggeration. it depends how you look at this book and how you accept your self as you are.
first couple chapters were good and a little boring ( it wasn't what I needed, but still I learned a lot) but chapter 5 to ending was perfect (while I belive there is no such a thing named perfect) I'll be checking on this review in 5 years just to prove it, I didn't give up and I've been on the right path.
overall experience:
accept who you are and don't care about what others thinks about you. much Love to the writer and the narrator.
thanks so much

Doe it help?
Depending on what you are looking for this collection might be helpful.
There are some practical surveys but other than that its a content is borrowed from other books.
The self-esteem book is just a compounded version of "The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem
by Nathaniel Branden" and "power of habit".
Would i listen to it again?
Yes. Its a short listen to fill the time and give a little bit of boost in your day.

It will help anyone who is having problems with decision-making. Help and love yourself by listening to this book and maybe this will help you in becoming more successful in the nearest future.
