A fantastic book

I love this book. Plan on getting it for a family member too. I’ve defined my why and am starting to implement some these great ideas. I can say that it's a good psychological book, which helps to motivate and to stay active, enjoy the life and realize veritable parts of a plastic human brain. With the help of this book also easy to help and understand the main concepts of self-discipline both for children, teenagers, and adults. Enjoy having this book.

Highly recommend

What this book provided me was unique look at self discipline that anyone can understand easily. The knowledge within gave me the foresight on how to make better life choices for myself each and every day. This book is worth every penny spent.

Packed with good info

Good starter book or refresher course in self-motivation. I would not do some of the things he does (like cold showers or extremely long fasts) but, as he says, these are only suggestions which he encourages you to create your own incentives. Overall, good book, with lots of references for deeper research. Very important to find a book, where will be included short but needed information in the way that it will be very effective. I like this book for it's right information and tips of using it.

Awful! Avoid until this re-narrated

Let’s face it... these kind of things are never easy listens. In this case the monotone American drawl makes absolutely a waste of time. Reads like an endless list of things I must do. Avoid!

Self-Discipline is Achievable

The Self-Discipline Blueprint I feel that I have found that one system to help me to develop and sustain the habits I desire. I found Patrick's concise writing style as well as the incorporation of considerable research references very appealing. I followed the instructions and read the book first before using the workbook and I am glad I did.

A Chapter-A-Day book on Self Discipline

Thoughtful insights into motivation to exercise. Especially helpful to keep trying until you pick the right form of exercise. I always thought it was just me. This is an excellent companion to his diet book. This actually got me started on a sustainable long term weight loss journey. I have always loved working out but lacked the actual motivation to begin.

Self-Discipline is Achievable

I like the author's style because I got top quality information in a succinct and powerful way. I start each day reading a daily passage from this book. I learned about this book from a friend who, in my opinion, is self-disciplined. This book helped me realize the source of my successes and failures. The difference is that his books teach me how to set into action those things that are wise to do.

Excellent Book

I read a lot of self-help books for both myself personally and for my business. Self-Discipline can be a tricky thing. For both my clients and me, it’s often the thing we fight against the most but when we have it in any aspect of our life, we are the happiest. This book not only explained this phenomenen but gave some simple yet powerful insight into how change is possible. Finished in one sitting. Had to stop highlighting because I was highlighting virtually every sentence. A Practical guide to behavior change. I'll be checking out all his other books.

Hilariously awful.

Gave up on this joke of a book somewhere between the laughably naïve hypothetical about how an alcoholic self-disciplined himself into only being half an alcoholic a year later, and the verbatim sentence that we are the least disciplined generation in history, from infancy, except Asians and Africans. Also, what the fuck does that subtitle even mean?

I never knew Self-Discipline can be learnt

The ideas in the book helped me resist temptation, control impulses, avoid distraction, end procrastination, change habits, and control my attention, emotions, and desires, in any area of life. Usually, I read a book, highlight what I think makes sense and move on without incorporating what I just noted. The thing is that I become to understand human nature more deeply thanks to this book.
