Through Discipline Comes Freedom

I appreciated the book because it gave a very good inside within a couple who introduces domestic discipline to reconnect and control the wife's shifting moods. Self discipline is the key for archiving everything you want and need in life. So when I decided that I wanted more than my regular life I realized that I lacked self discipline. Here this book has helped me a lot because it led me towards creating healthy habits and routines in my life.

A Prescription for the Anemic Church

I really like this book. This will be a reference guide for the foreseeable future; you know, until I can get this self-discipline stuff nailed down. Willard has given us a good book that becomes great in the final chapter. His handling of theodicy is maybe the most astute I've ever listen. His insistence that there is no Christian but a disciple of Jesus is an important message that needs to be heard, digested, and become a persistent message from pulpits everywhere. This book deals with three essential attributes most successful people use to get what they want. This attributes are influence, willpower and discipline. The book takes each of these attributes, defines them and imparts techniques on how to use them in everyday life.

Outstanding and Highly Recommended

The book is an easy read and there are steps that you can implement almost immediately. One of the things I also enjoyed about this book is there was a lot of scientific data to support the claims he makes. I also REALLY enjoyed the recap after every chapter. Each of us has at least a dozen habits that are not only harmful to health, but also take time and spoil relations with our loved ones. To get rid of their oppression, it is not necessary to have a super strong will and stamina

It's not complex, common sense stuff.

Great explanation and examples of how to for self-discipline. The instruction to accomplish self-discipline may be too extreme for some but it is clearly shown that in order to achieve a major goal it must be a priority to want it more than anything else. Gives a very good perspective of how to manage one self and how become more acertive towards our purpose and goals I wanted to better myself, and create a happier and more comfortable lifestyle, and I didn't realize it was right under my fingertips until I started reading the book.

Thorough and powerful

This book is jam packed with useful information. I have all the tools now to make some much needed changes. I had listen another book on self-discipline and I found it overwhelming and too complicated. I assumed it was just over my head but this book had a lot of the same material but did a much better job at keeping my attention and explaining things better. I have thoroughly enjoyed listen this book! The beginning was a little slow to interest me but further in it gave very valuable and interesting advice on improving one's self.

Self-Discipline is Achievable

n to earth, simple to read, and prompt valuable. It is the kind of book that even non readers can effectively and rapidly traverse. You will end up putting the recommendations enthusiastically immediately. Extremely supportive from the begin and an extraordinary asset to allude back to also. I realized when I read this book that I hated to exercise because I had never found a sport that I enjoy. So I stopped trying to get up early and go running (which I hate but that everyone recommends doing) and started to think of what I had liked to do in the past.

Useful guide!

Well written and to the point

The best part is that this book teachings not only apply to your health but also to life in general. I honestly loved it and it was a super easy listen. This is another great book from the author! Since it's a mini book, one can read it quickly and start implementing some suggestions right away! It will help you to accomplish any goals you set, without the usual struggles and possibly failures. He shows you what to expect and how to get through the "middle" stage, the part of starting and reaching your goals.

Excellent to listen !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love how easy this book is to read, and how much helpful content Martin provides I loved the book. In just a few days it helped me to get myself back on track. Now I can say I'm living again according to my long term goals. The tips and techniques shared throughout the book are just amazing. It's my second day on cold showers and I plan to keep doing it for some time. Self -discipline is not really what you would call a fun concept, however Martin makes it fun and lighthearted while imparting fantastic tips. It is refreshing to find a bit of humor in what could be a dry and dull topic

Concise and to the point

This book gave me insight of what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur and why you should have a really good purpose if you want to keEp motivated as to acknowledge that in your journey you will find setbacks and how to keep your poise Some good tips, but overall there's a lot of "do this," "don't do this," but do what you like, as long as it's rock climbing. Why discourage bike commuting?? Or anything that someone who reads it might find enjoyable. I recommended this book every one. !!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent!!!

The time that it takes to read the book, is given back to you by the strategies the book offers. The suggestions to value your time, choosing more empowering thoughts and creating an environment that supports the goals. I have perused and worked on everything in the book. I took in a ton and thought that it was anything but difficult to set up little, however vital strides toward accomplishing this objective.

Self discipline for a healthier life!!!

Love this book. There are myriads of diet and exercise books available on the market. We all know the basics, but this book is concise and put it all together without 300 pages, too get you motivated and maintain that motivation.
