About this listen
A corpse hanging over the crops. A team falling ill. Can he find a killer before someone decides murder is contagious?
DCI Harry Grimm hates getting sick. Fighting a terrible cold, the under-the-weather detective is already pushing his limits by going house hunting with his girlfriend. So, when he’s called out to investigate a body gruesomely displayed in a field as a scarecrow, he can’t see how his day can get any worse. That is, until another body turns up.
With the rest of his colleagues succumbing to sickness and one member of the team soon to leave for good, the ill inspector realises it’ll take more than a little rest and a hot toddy to get back on track and stop this countryside killer.
Can he keep a clear head and catch a murderer intent on writing their motive in blood?
See No Evil is the stunning seventeenth book in the DCI Harry Grimm Crime Thrillers series. If you like characters that feel like old friends, interwoven plots, and solid mysteries, then you’ll love David J. Gatward’s countryside conundrum.

I've listened to, and loved dozens of your performances over the last few years, but there is something about the words which David J Gatward writes in his Grimm books that makes your delivery really special! What a great collaboration!
I noticed how soft your voice becomes when Harry is talking of the surrounding countryside and, by contrast, how gruff you can sound when necessary! Your 'flu infused dialogue was brilliant and it's so easy to forget that it is just you and your recording gear and not several performers interacting together! Your accents are excellent.
Sorry I just can't take to Grace though! Whatever she says is like nails on a blackboard to me and I want David to kill her off and give Harry a sweet voiced strong woman instead of the nagging harpie I hear! Maybe don't kill her, but have her change her sexual preference and dump Harry! Break his heart? Harden him up a bit again? Food for thought?
Laughter and tears in this one, yet again! One of the best...you and the book❤
Over in a flash! Couldn't stop listening ❤
