Summary
Alternate reality romance, part of the Divinity Universe
Divinity Healers, Book 2
In a world obsessed with medical advancement, Dr. Gerard Fauchet longs for something more. When he’s assigned as the liaison to an off-plane dignitary, he never imagined she’d be so stunningly beautiful or so damned frustrating. One second she’s kissing him, the next she’s pretending nothing is between them. The passion is scorching, everything he ever dreamed of having with a woman. He’ll make her admit she wants him - or die trying.
Dr. Cecilia Markos is keenly aware that she’s been shoved through a portal to an alternate reality for one reason - to bring home medical advancements for the betterment of her people. Unfortunately, she only has two months to learn a world’s complete medical knowledge base. It’s an impossible task made even more so by the distractingly handsome Gerard, who she can’t seem to keep her hands or her mind off of.
As the erotic clash heats up between Gerard and Cecilia, the clock is ticking, and the time for seduction is running out.

This is the middle of a series of three books. They don’t have to be listened to in order but it does help.

Passion and a Desire They Can’t Resist
Michelle M Pillow has created such a unique and wonderful world! A short novella which continued parts of the story started in “Ariella’s Keeper” (though the books can be read as stand alone). The sparks fly between Cecilia and Gerard but they are from different worlds and Cecilia will have to return home eventually! Can they live without each other? Passion, spontaneity and lots of sparks between these two! This was a joy to listen to! Looking forward to the next instalment - “Linnea’s Arrangement”!

Drencher
I like this series, I guess cause I like the characters so much. I liked how Gerard was so bolding in the transport. He really loosened Cecilia up. The ending was both sad and a moment of joy, I enjoyed it. The steam in this book was hot, hot, hot, a pure panty drencher. Listening to this audiobook the time just flew by. This audiobook was short, sweet and simple. I like all of Michelle's book, they are books you can relax into.

Quick story
Seducing Cecilia is a quick story. The audiobook is okay but it's not one I would listen to again. The story just didn't hold my attention and I found the romance to be lacking.

“I Will Wait For You Forever”
Cecilia has left her home plane of 187 to visit 303 in order to learn more about their medical advancements. Gerald is smitten by Cecilia from first glance - but how will he get her to agree to a liaison her plane deems chaotic and illegal? I loved their back and forth, tug and pull, between their feelings and propriety. Rebecca Cook did a fantastic job giving Cecilia and Gerald voices - this story felt rich and entertaining.

Great sci-fi novella
This story was engaging and well-written. The world building was fantastic. There is a lot of story packed into this novella. The political climate felt so realistic. Both worlds seemed oppressive in different ways and politicians liked to flex their political power to feel important. The connection between Cecilia and Gerard is instant and intense. Cecilia has never experienced such deep emotions before since the anti-chaos society would not allow it, but that all unravels when she meets Gerard. The struggle for Cecilia to comprehend her and stop feeling guilty of own feelings was very relatable and it’s understandable considering the oppressive rules of her world.
My only complaint about the actual story is that we don’t find out enough information about Linnea. I understand that it’s because she’s the protagonist of the next book, but I wish that she and Cecilia had spoken more. I disliked that the only interactions between Cecilia and Linnea were so abrasive, especially on Cecilia’s part. When Cecilia realized that Linnea was reading medical texts, I wish that she would have talked to her and asked for her input.
I listened to the audiobook version of this. It was great quality but the narrator used strange voices for each character, especially the protagonist, and it really weirded me out. It sounded like Cecilia seethed almost every time she spoke, like she was some sort of villain. The whisper voices also made me cringe. This probably would have been 4.5 to 5 stars if not for the weird voices.

Really great book
Can doctors from two different planes of reality work together? Cecelia is tasked with learning all all the medical advancements she can from Gerard's plane and bringing them back to hers. She never expected to fall for him. I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to more.

Seducing Cecilia
The second book in the Divinity Healers series. Cecilia and Gerard’s story of two people from different parallel universes. The story held my interest as I listened as these two went through ups and downs as they fall in love. I want to read or listen to the next book.

New Dimension
Gerard is a doctor and researcher in a dimension obsessed with health, disease, and a sterile environment. Cecelia has come to this dimension to gain medical knowledge. She is a doctor in a dimension obsesses with order and conformity. There is a super attraction between these two. A medical emergency strikes that may separate them for good. There must be a solution. This is a fast-moving story with an introduction to a new dimension, lots of drama, and a steamy romance. The narration by Rebecca Cook brings the characters and their story to life.

Irresistible Desires . . .
Dr Gerard Fauchet and Dr Cecilia Markos come from two drastically different worlds. Gerard is given liaison responsibility to work with Cecilia who comes from a parallel universe. They look at medical advancements in a different way as dictated by their cultures. But Gerard is entranced by the beautiful woman he meets and has his mind set on seducing her into wanting him as he wants her. Cecilia’s sole mission is to grasp every medical advancement she can identify that would make her people prosper. But time is short for the magnitude of this task. And to make it more difficult, she has the added distraction of the handsome doctor luring her closer and closer to giving herself fully to him. Will their time run out before they each get what they want the most?
The narrator for the audiobook version is Rebecca Cook. She does an excellent job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate impression of what each character is like, bringing them to life for the listener. It helps to set the mood, familiarize us with the characters, and is a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the story.

I Enjoyed It
I read this story way back in 2016 and didn't remember it too well so when I was offered the chance to listen to it I took it. I liked the narration by Rebecca Cook who did an excellent job bringing the characters and the story to life; The story is about Cecilia and Gerald, two very different people who just seem to work despite their differences.
Cecilia comes from a place where chaos is illegal and control, order and logic are the only acceptable behaviours. Whilst Gerard a doctor may be charming he does have a wicked smile and is a bit of a devil, he wants Cecilia to embrace whatever type of relationship they can, even if it's not logical.
The story while being tied to the previous book in some ways can be listened to as a standalone.
