Summary

Having a mad crush on her boss's son, Matt Lacroux - an intriguing mix of proper gentleman and flirtatious bad boy - is probably not the smartest idea for single mother Mira Savage. Especially when the company, and her job, is already on shaky ground. But as a Princeton professor, Matt's life is hours away from Mira's home on Cape Cod, keeping him safely in the fantasy-only zone. And as a single mother to six-year-old Hagen, with a floundering company to save, fantasies are all she has time for.

With hopes of becoming dean off the table, and too many months of longing for a woman who lived too far away to pursue, Matt's publishing contract couldn't have come at a better time. He heads home to Cape Cod on a brief sabbatical, intent on starting his book, and finally getting his arms around sweet, seductive Mira.

A surprise encounter leads to white-hot passions and midnight confessions. The more time Matt and Mira spend together, the deeper their relationship grows, and the love and attention Matt showers on Hagen is more than she has ever dreamed of. But Matt's sabbatical is only temporary, and Mira's not saving his father's company so she can leave it behind. Will their whispers of love be enough for one of them to change their life forever?

Love Matt & Mira in audio

Just when you think it can't get any better Melissa Foster writes a book that excels. I fell in love with Matt Lacroux immediately. He is a dream come true: smart, sexy and sensitive. Mira is a single mom who works in Matt's dad's hardware store. Mira’s son Hagen is so much like Matt. He is super smart and needs to be challenged. The relationship that develops throughout is a pleasure to read. Mira’s son Hagen plays an important role that bonds Matt’s and Mira’s hearts. Follow them along in this beautiful story. The narration by BJ Harrison is on point. I loved how he voiced the characters and especially Hagen. He truly is an exceptional narrator and made it so easy to follow. Kudos to both author and narrator.

Love it!

One of my favorite Seaside books. Matt and Mira have one of the best love stories. Matt is a professor at Princeton who is on sabbatical to write a book. Mira is a single mom who works for Matt's dad at the family hardware store. These two live completely different lives. Mira is focused on her son and Matt is focused on his book and trying to become dean of the School of Social Science. What Matt finds is priorities change and what was once important to him is not as important as family and those you love. I am a big fan of single parent stories and this one does not disappoint. Melissa Foster did a great job on this one as did BJ Harrison who narrates. BJ always makes you feel like you are right there in the middle of all the action and gives you all the feels.

Great Listen

I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook of Seaside Whispers. Melissa Foster definitely knows how to capture our attention and pull us in with her books and Seaside Whispers is no exception. B.J. Harrison was the narrator and he does an amazing job drawing us in. Matt Lacroux is a professor at Princeton who is taking a 3 month downtime to return to his hometown. Mira Savage is an employee who works for Matt's father. Mira is a single mother to her son Hagen. Mira and Matt have great chemistry together and add that to the way Matt always makes time to spend with her son Hagen. This a perfect situation any single mother looks for. Meet a nice, hot guy who actually cares and wants to spend that one on one time with her child. Absolutely perfect. I loved the audiobook and how we can all relate to these characters.

My Thoughts on Seaside Whispers

This was yet another good addition to the Seaside Summers series. It feels like it’s coming to an end all the originals and even some late comers to the series meeting their matches and settling down. But I also felt like this book was a bit different then the ones before. Maybe a but more intense when it came to the certain aspects of the relationship. Plus I love a good single parent story. Matt and Mira were adorable. I liked that they kind of circled each other for a while before actually diving into a relationship. And I loved how Matt always included Mira’s son. Definitely one of those swoon worthy traits for me. I’ve really enjoyed this series overall and I’m excited to see what’s next for these characters and this author. The narrator also brought his usual great performance to this story. He gave me exactly what I've come to expect when his voice is on the audio.

Seaside Girls and a Leap of Faith

Melissa Foster has a wonderful knack of writing endearing characters, humor, and a steamy story. I love the antics of the Seaside Girls and think they are such a wonderful group. Matt and Mira (Hagen too!) are the focus of this book. The storyline is original, and the background topic of co-op was interesting. The cameo appearances of characters from Seaside was an added bonus. Its like catching up with old friends. I love how realistic the author writes the emotional scenes. B.J. Harrison is wonderful bringing the characters to life with his flawless performance. He adds the right emotions and its easy to hear who is speaking.

From Friends to Lovers to Family

When Matt, a professor at Princeton, met Mira, a single mother, at his brother's engagement party, there was an instant connection. They stayed in touch via phone calls and texts after Matt when back Princeton. When Matt decided to take a sabbatical from Princeton, he head home to Seaside. Mira worked for Matt's father at the family hardware store. When she learned of Matt's return, their friendship picked up where it left off. He began to realize that his priorities had changed and he wants to be more than friends with Mira and her son Hagan. When he takes Hagan under his wing, it allows Mira to open her heart to the possibility that they could be more than friends. This is a friends to lovers romance that warms the heart.

Matt and Mira

What’s a professor to do when he realizes he won’t be promoted to dean? Take a sabbatical to write a book, of course. And this is what’s brought Matt Lacroux back to the seaside area. He wants to write his book, but he can’t help being the hero and helping anyone and everyone. He falls for Mira, who has a mind of her own as well as a young son. I’ve read several books by this author and have always enjoyed the books in her Seaside series. This book is no exception. The story moves at a good pace with plenty of backstory and visits from past characters. It’s almost like a homecoming in some scenes, but the book can totally be read as a stand-alone. Who knew that libraries could be so cool? From libraries to co-ops, to building a raft, this story will make you want to have fun and maybe do some guy things (in kidspeak). B.J. Harrison does an outstanding job voicing the characters in the audio version. He's smooth and his voices are believable. Enjoyable.

Wild, Sexy and Fun!

With Melissa writing and B. J. Harrison narrating, I felt like I was living this story. Matt Lacroux was a Princeton professor and writer. He was all sexy and hotness. He was on a sabbatical, se he heads home to write and see if he can hook up with Mira. Mira Savage worked for Mat's father Neil, trying to support her son Hagen. She tries to get a co-op started to help Neil's business compete with big companies. It warmed my heart to see the connection between Matt and Mira's son Hagen. It is a well written and highly emotional story that will stick in your mind.
