Summary

Tessa Hainsworth used to have it all – except time, peace of mind and leisure to enjoy the fruits of her labours. One momentous spring, she and her husband decide to start again in Cornwall – and the story of Tessa’s first turbulent year in adapting to her new life was told in her first book. Seagulls in the Attic now find Tessa a fully-fledged member of the community, but that doesn’t mean life becomes any easier. Her initial delight now has to be tempered with the reality of financial downsizing and learning a whole new way of living. But Tessa’s natural exuberance and sense of fun help her to turn all the hardships to her advantage – eventually.

Fantastic

I have listened to Up with the Larks and loved it, and was not disappointed in Seagulls in the Attic. Being from Cornwall and desparate to move back, these books means such a lot and I really wish it was me. Really well written and well researched. I just loved them. In fact I am putting off listening to Home to Roost because I don't want them to be over! I will listen to them again for sure. LOVE THEM!

Wonderful

I listened to Up with the larks first, which is such a wonderful story and Anna Bentinck’s narration is just brilliant. I had to listen to Seagulls in the attic straight after and just as wonderful! Definitely recommend. Especially whilst out on a spring walk, taking a break from your own reality.

Another must enjoyable and entertaining book

Well done Tessa for writing about your experience as a “posty “. I hope you are going to write a third book and allow Anna to narrate it.

Unusual read

Wasn't sure at first and really not much of a story line but its a cheery feel good read especially the Seagull story! Very sweet and endearing.
