Summary

Two teens must learn the "art of killing" in this Printz Honor-winning book, the first in a chilling new series from Neal Shusterman, author of the New York Times best-selling Unwind Dystology series.

A world with no hunger, no disease, no war, no misery: Humanity has conquered all those things and has even conquered death. Now Scythes are the only ones who can end life - and they are commanded to do so in order to keep the size of the population under control.

Citra and Rowan are chosen to apprentice to a scythe - a role that neither wants. These teens must master the "art" of taking life, knowing that the consequence of failure could mean losing their own.

Scythe is the first novel of a thrilling new series by National Book Award-winning author Neal Shusterman in which Citra and Rowan learn that a perfect world comes only with a heavy price.

Looking forward to read other books in this series

I was going through random dystopian books when I came across Scythe. I didn't know much about the author or this series but I did love the summary. It reminded me of an anime that I loved (Sunday Without God). The book definitely didn't disappoint! I loved this new world and the way it was introduced. I would definitely love to explore more of this world. The narrator did the book justice and I have already purchased the next book in this series. If the summary of this book piqued your interest, go ahead and read the book! you won't be disappointed!

New Favourite Book and Audiobook

This story was so beautifully done and perfectly read. I was so enraptured by the narrator and I constantly thought about this book when I was reading it. I would highly recommend this book and this audiobook and I will most definitely be continuing on this series by listening to the audiobooks. The only thing I'll say is that at points, this story can be hard to hear or read because of the people dying as this book focuses on death.

Really good

It took me a while to get my ear in with the narrator but his drawl was perfect for the sombre storyline, just the right amount of hope too.

Who doesn't like a teen dystopia novel? Can't wait to listen to the next 2 books!

Fantastic Storyline

This Audiobook is definitely nothing for people with Weak nerves but just brilliant if you like Dystopian Books.
The Readers Voice gives the Story its final brilliance.

Best audio book ever

This is my favourite book and I found that Greg tremblay narrated it very well. He has a softer voice for feminine speech and a harder rougher voice for masculine speech
