Summary

I have one rule: Don't shit where you eat.

Several of the women in the condo complex I own would love some one-on-one playtime, and why wouldn't they? I'm young, fit, attractive, and loaded. Not to mention, I'm packing a sizable bulge below the belt. It's a combination that drops panties on a regular basis.

Yay, me, right?

But my cock, troublemaker that he is, has been confined to my trousers by my business partner. A concession I agreed to, and one that's never been hard to enforce until Emery moves in across the hall. She's smart, young, determined, and sexy as hell. I want a taste. I won't stop until I'm buried deep inside the succulent new-in-town brunette.

After being warned about my past, she does her best to steer clear, but I'm about to show her that underneath it all, I'm a guy with a heart of gold and a cock of steel.

My name is Hayden Oliver, and this is my story.

Screwed is standalone romantic comedy by New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today best-selling author Kendall Ryan.

I hate pathetic women

WHY WHY do you have to make women act like real life women in the whiney can't freaking hold your head up high and let the dang guy go! Seriously she had to chase him down? Wheres your self respect. I just can't with women like this. If a man doesnt want you, MOVE ON. Dont wallow, don't beg. Cry in your room a day or a week, whatever. But don't let him know. Women need to take a page out of the man handbook and just walk away. If the woman had walked away and he realized his mistake and came back. I would have applauded this book. But the women are never rational or empowered in themselves. They're always weak and whiney. She was warned, she ignored the warnings and then acted like a typical brainless girl. And here shes wanting to be a lawyer, wheres her freaking game face? Glad this was free with audible

Cute Story

This story was cute, sexy, sweet, short and to the point. After the story was over it left me wanting more. It was such a sweet story I didn't want it to end but thank you Kendall Ryan for not dragging it out like some authors and making it a 15hr tennis match of back and forth. Absolutely Loved this one!

Not as good as Monster Prick but

it's worth a free credit! Like Monster Prick its too short and the narrator's male voice is nonexistent but the story was good! While MP was an even shorter book it at least delivered on the erotica this book not so much...

3.5 Screwed Stars

I wish there was a 3.5 Star rating.

Because although I enjoyed the book I wouldn't say I LOVVVED it.
It's a great feel good fun read. You know the kind where your enjoying the book but it doesn't make you all emotional or fall all over your self to read and read and read again.

I loved that Hayden best friend was the one to call him out and tell him no more using the housing development as his way to pick up the ladies.
I enjoyed Emery's no nonsense personality. The friends to lovers is always a great read if done right and this was definitely done right.

Maybe it got lost in the audio why I didn't fall in love with the book. But I will say this.. I will give it another chance to up its star's when I do a relisten because I always do a relisten :)

Ruined by then end

It was hard to finish. The conflict seemed forced but at least the sex scenes and the beginning were pretty good

A little disappointing (Warning...Subtle Spoiler)

I am actually a big fan of Kendall Ryan, owning many of her books both written and audio. I went into this with an open mind and high expectations. It was a cute premise, with the standard 2 broken people avoiding commitment. However, the build up of the story was so drawn out... with the climax and the wind up taking all of 5 places. From his major offense to the awww its ok I forgive you was WAY to quick.

The narrator did a pretty good job with the voices. However, with so many books out there with 2 narrators, I am more hesitant to spend the money on books with just one narrator when the book itself has multiple POVs of different genders.

Considering the length of the story and the story itself, I don't think its worth the credit. Please note that this experience alone is not enough to turn me off to Kendall Ryan. As I said in the beginning, I am a fan and have enjoyed many other books that she has written.

Good...

I am a big fan of Kendall Ryan’s books and I love Ava Erickson narrating. This was a cute story and I’m glad I listened. My only complaint is that there was only one narrator, there REALLY needed to be a male narrator for Hayden’s part. It’s just weird to listen to a woman narrate a mans part.
