About this listen

Mike Lynch is going through hard times. But things get much worse when he witnesses a murder in a lay-by. Snatching the victim’s car in order to get away, Mike soon makes a shocking discovery - the victim’s young daughter and her nanny are hiding in the rear footwell. Very exciting tale that never slows .Excellent reader who totally delivered with voice characters that were each very different without him changing his voice too much..I've enjoyed pretty well all of the Tony Forder books I've listened to and this one was very satisfying..

I liked everything about this book until the last 3 hours. The storyline turned to full on armed combat and the narrator’s deadpan tone started to really irritate me. Sorry I can’t give a more positive review.

Narration is frustrating. Every voice sounds the same so you can't always tell characters apart, He barely pauses at full stops and a lot of the time a 2 person conversation can sound like 1 person answering their own questions. Can be annoying to follow.... Imagine reading a page that has all the full stops taken away. That's what it's like to listen to... Or like listening to a book at 2X speed. Either way it's not easy to listen to.
Story seems pretty good though... Sadly couldn't finish the book.tried several times and got about halfway through.
