Publisher's Summary

Russ and Anne Mathews made their escape from their home, along with family, friends, and new friends they made along the way. Now, they must build a new life for themselves at the Warren farm, without the luxury of electricity and very few traces of the 21st century.

The problem: there are a lot of people who didn't prepare for something like this, and some of those people will stop at nothing to take what the group has, by whatever means necessary. They must protect the farm and their supplies day and night from those who would do them harm to acquire them.

These people are not soldiers. They are everyday people like you and me. They're building a clan. How far will they have to go in order to secure the safety of the ones they love in their new home? What price will they pay in the process?

When the Peace Is Gone is the second book in the A Powerless World Series, dealing with how life might be lived after an EMP. If you like post-apocalyptic fiction, this continuation of the story by P.A. Glaspy is a unique story from a woman's point of view.

    "Good read"

I was at first a little put off by the first book in this series, I then realized that it is a truly GREAT book series. I have listened to many prepper series and this one opened my eyes that all the male writers approach the subject in one way. Mrs Glaspy showed me where my pepps are lacking and some of the subject that I will improve on. I can only say that I think this is a must read series, or in my case, listening to.
Thanks for the great book and please keep them coming.

    "KEEP WRITING!!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would recommend this to a friend.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All of them. I love the fact this was told from a woman's point of view... not all guns guns guns. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of action!

What does Jennifer Groberg bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Loved the accent, she brought the characters to life. Cant imagine anyone else narrating this book

    Any additional comments?

Loved the books... hoping for more. Please keep writing. Hoping for more in this series! Thank you for enjoyable book and the way it was performed! You have a fan here!

    "Do not apologize..."

I have been reading the post apocalyptic genre for years. You have done an excellent job, making me laugh out loud as well as eyes water with tears. You kept it amazingly clean and we all know the reality of an event such as this would definitely be much grittier. Please continue the story and I will continue to read it.
The story is for the writer and us readers either enjoy it or not...and your story is enjoyable to this reader.
    Sincerely,
    Jeremy

    "Awesome-Please write more"

As the 1st two, very exciting, very detailed, and more realistic than most books, even others I like. Again, the best narrator yet! Please write more!

"Great book with well defined storyline"

The aspect of the book I found to be best was the development of the characters and the relationships formed during this event. Keep going, you are doing great!

    "Great writing and narration."

This is my favorite genre. I have read/ listened tons of books in the genre. all mostly men gun lover's. Not a bad thing at all. I have much the same mindset. That said, I am truly enjoying Ann's point of view. Great writing and narration.

"Excellent story of coming together to survive"

This second installment by this lady writer is exceptional and gratifying.
I will confess that I hesitated choosing this series because of the female viewpoint and narration. After I finished the first book, I became more intrigued by the perspective.
I have read, or listened to, over 125 books in this genre, and all have been from the male perspective. I found this to be a refreshing change.
The storyline is believable and I compliment the author by keeping the technical aspects of the weapons to a minimum.
I enjoyed this sequel, and look forward to those that follow.

    "Awesome story!!"

Again, Second book was just as good as the first. I love her writing. I like that its not just a story, it could happen one day. it gives you insight on what to do in case of emergency. And again I loved the narrator. I'm looking forward to the third book.
