Summary

The world is without power. The dead rule. Yet only now does the true struggle begin. Osiris, Ra and Isis each jockey for position, fighting a war as old as mankind.

Steve and Irakesh escape the Ark of the Redwood, but Trevor and Jordan are dispatched to bring them to justice. Blair and Liz attempt to build a new civilization from the ashes, but quickly realize they face larger problems.

For the true enemy of the ancient world has risen, the vicious god Set. With him comes an army more powerful than the world has ever seen.

Blair not making as many mistakes. having him kick Steve's ass.

What does Ryan Kennard Burke bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

All the different voices. He does a great job, man , women, wolf, beast ect...

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

you run a whole gambit of emotions.

Any additional comments?

This is another great story in the series. I wish it was 2-3x longer. Cant wait for the next one to come out

Exciting Adventure!

Where does Vampires Don't Sparkle rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Vampires Don't Sparkle ranks right up there at the top with No Such Thing As Werewolves and No Mere Zombie. The stories are full of gripping adventure, and Ryan Kennard Burke does an amazing job with all the voices.

What did you like best about this story?

I love how Chris Fox steps outside the box to combine things like mythological gods with werewolves, zombies, and vampires, and does so in a way that involves science!

Which scene was your favorite?

The "Previously on Deathless" as read by Ryan Kennard Burke had me cracking up! "Pew, pew, rawr, rawr, etc." I was dying of laughter!

Any additional comments?

Vampires Don't Sparkle is a fantastic third book in the Deathless series. Chris Fox has created an amazing world, weaving together so many different elements into a cohesive story. Can't wait to read more!

It is the continuing roller coaster ride

I have to start with “previously on Deathless” with the recap of No Such Thing as Werewolves and No Mere Zombie…..this was hilarious, and much needed as I had forgotten a lot from NSTW and NMZ (one of the problems when you listen to a lot of audio books).

So this is going to be a somewhat hard review to do without giving spoilers, but here we go. It was really cool to see the expanding pantheon of gods, some familiar and some not so familiar (while I like mythology I have not done a lot of reading about it). I loved seeing everything start to come together, the alliances made, and choices that some of the characters make. The interactions between Osiris, Isis and Ra were very interesting.

As usual, the narration by Ryan Kennard Burke was great. I am very happy that we have the same narrator for the series. As a listener I get very frustrated when they change narrators as you get used the voices of that the characters have already been given and it sucks when it changes. Anyway, he does a great job giving each character a very distinct voice.

It is the continuing roller coaster ride that started with No Such Thing as Werewolves and for some reason I thought the story would be ending here but the ride just keeps on going…I found myself laughing a lot and also gripping the steering wheel throughout the telling of this installment, which is always a good sign. The ending, while not quite a cliffhanger still leaves you wanting more, so again I will wait impatiently for the next book….I keep telling myself not to start a series until it is complete because I hate the waiting…oh well. So go out and start this series and you won’t be disappointed

Excellent

As usual this author can tell a wonderful take. I loved it completely my only complaint was not enough authenticity to the descriptions of ancient Egyptians I.e. too much "Alabaster"

Amazing! Chris Fox has scored again with this one.

A great end to the Drathless books. I love the imagery and use of ancient culture and lore weaved together with supernatural fantasy.
