Summary
Not one to let being banged up in Sick Bay stop her, Max has had a brilliant idea. But she needs Markham to execute it on her behalf. The subject of this cunning plan is Peterson, struggling with another bereavement and not doing very well. What’s needed to get him through it is sympathy, sensitivity, tact and understanding.
Step forward Mr Markham, for whom sympathy, sensitivity, etc., are things that happen to other people. Combine a fanatic from R&D, a head of Security with his own problems, a steam-pump, two historians who can’t even be in the same room as each other, some fractious Protestants and a large body of very dirty water. Told in Markham’s own words, this is the story of an intervention - St Mary’s style.

Another excellent St Mary's book
I love the St Mary's Chronicles. The books were in my Wish List for ages, but once I'd bought that first book, I couldn't get enough. Humour, horror, Sci fi, and mystery all in one series, and with one of best narrators I've heard. Characters you come to know and love (and few you'll hate!). Definitely worth a listen, but beware, the series is very addictive!

Another adventure all fans will enjoy.
An absolute must for St Mary fans! And THANK YOU Audible, for having Zara Ramm narrate this short story.
A delight to listen to as always.
It follows from An Argument of Historians and
***SPOILER ALERT***
we find out that Max is recovering from the cliffhanger ending to the last novel and that Peterson will recover too.

I loved this book.
I really liked the narration of this tale about Markham, who is still shrouded in mystery.
