Summary

Sequel series to the best-selling Last Survivors series

Danger lurks in the Ruins. Three survivors travel the ruins of a collapsed society, sifting through the rusted relics of the ancients' civilization as they search for a better future, hoping to escape the horrors of the past. But among those treasures lurks danger. And what they discover might be worse than what they left behind.

Loved it!!!

This is a continuation of the original series The Last Survivors. I highly recommend listening to that series first so you'll know more about these characters and the world they live in. The Last Survivors was my favorite series last year so I was very excited to see T.W. Piperbrook continue the series! So far, book 1 of The Ruins is just as good! I'm very happy to see Sean Runnette is still narrating this series. He does an excellent job with each of the characters.
This book picks up right where the last series left off. Kirby, Bray, and William have left Brighton. They go looking for Kirby's old settlement only to encounter two new groups of people and more twisted men. I wonder which of these two groups is the true danger. Maybe both! Looking forward to book 2!

Hurry up book 2

What made the experience of listening to The Ruins the most enjoyable?

T.W. really makes you feel like you're right there with the characters, making plans with them

What did you like best about this story?

I love it when they describe the places they are at and I'm trying to figure out where they are at.

Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

yes. his voice brings the characters alive

Any additional comments?

loved it

love the next chapter in the saga so exciting

I would hope that if you are thinking about reading this book then you started with the last Survivor series. if that is the case then this next phase of the story is so extremely exciting and leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for book two.

Excellent continuation of an excellent story

I was pleased to see that this story exceeded my expectations. I probably would have followed Ivy, Malora, and Jingo, but T. W. was right to throw these three together on a new adventure. The dynamic is fantastic and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Great continuation....

Great continuation in the world developed in the "Last Survivors" series . We get to follow Bray, William and Kirby on their journey, where they find a new settlement much different to what they were used to in Brighton.... good or bad? 😋 Read to find out!!

I don't like a series that's a sequel to a series

I rate it low on general princple. Sequels should be well-marked as such. Huge aggravation.

Little slow in some parts, but!

though this entry into the series has a few slow parts, it still leaves you wanting to know more.

Narration is great. Story has people too gulable

Supposed seasoned and savy characters become gulable just to create a crisis. A soldier and a cateful tracker get duped.
