Summary

The final instalment of this fabulous bestselling series. The Tide Lords have gathered in Jelidia to find out the secret of how to kill an immortal...

Cayal in particular. Before they can do this, however, they must find the Chaos Crystal that brought them into this world.

They initially head to Glaeba, where Akady has been captured by Jaxyn. She escapes and flees to Caelum, where she runs into Warlock and his family and learns that Elyssa, Warlock's cruel immortal mistress, may know something about the location of the Crystal.

With every immortal on Amyrantha searching for this artefact, the stakes are very high...

"An abrupt and brutal ending will shock even those fans who love Fallon's work for its unstinting darkness and cynicism." ( Publishers Weekly)

Fantastic series

I loved this series from start to finish. I am hoping that maybe we will see more of Akady, Cayel and Declan in the future. The narrator is super and adds to the whole experience. 10 out of 10 with bells on.

I wanted to finish just for the sake of getting ending but even that was poor , it just never pulls you in it's like someone reading an essay, shame cos the concept is good but story is just bland!

Real Chaotic Storyline

This is one of those books that have an age limit for enjoyment. Honestly, the author still has a way to go in developing her skills in this category. Her storyline although somewhat complex, it is presented with a lack of finesse, almost as if it was not thoroughly thought through and made up along the way, throwing in characters and twists in a chaotic manner while dragging the story!! Unfortunately, the scenes or the fictional worlds were/was not sufficiently or creatively described to inspire belief.
The narrator was ok, but his voice variations seemed somewhat limited and ending up confusing the characters for me...

A long and entertaining journey

All through this last book I was wondering "how on earth will this finish"? I see that some people were disappointed by the ending, but I found it rather clever (after initially being a bit surprised), and enjoyed the journey thoroughly.

Not how I would have ended it.

Ending seemed rushed. It felt like the author decided to do something new, trying to make it relevant but after three books the three chapters at the end ruined the whole series for me. I put a lot of time and money into this series and I'm disappointed it ended the way it did. She threw a lot away and it could have ended very differently. The narrators performance was super as per usual though. Really shine through. But this is going to be another book I am inventing my own ending for.

Fantastic series and great oratory

The final part to a brilliant series! I have loved the series and the performance both. Sadly the ending is not one I found very satisfying, which stopped me giving it s 5star rating, but I know things like endings of a series are very personal preferences.

Not sure about the ending

This has been a good series and was always going to be a hard one to wrap up. The author leaves you unsure as to what way things will go right up until it happens.
The epilogue is an interesting addition and whilst there are a few loose ends regarding some of the immortals, it left me with a smile.

Disappointing End

After 4 books this feels like an aborted end. A story where the beginning was planned but the end not thought through.

All credit to the narrator who made it possible to finish what was an uncomfortable end.
