Publisher's Summary

For the first time in millennia, the all-consuming Darkness has been pushed back. Thanks to Arthur and his ragtag army of women, there's finally a light at the end of the tunnel. Or there would have been if Mammon, Princess of Greed hadn't awakened. Powerful enough to level a town with the blink of an eye and ally to no one, Mammon has one goal and one goal only. To own everything in Hell, starting with Arthur and his friends. And if he can't stop her from taking over while fending off attacks from Hell's ruling class, well, let's just say that his chance to stop the Darkness will slip from slim to none.

    "Good, but.... Very VERY short."

This book was good, but very short for being a squeal. Also, it was scattered, with very little focus, with the plot constantly changing with random crap that keeps happening. Once the main cast gets close to resolving one issue, another comes up to cause even more problems, and that makes the second problem even worse.

in the end the writer Des Ex Machina's a lot of problems, which just feels annoying. If the this book had taken its time and explored the implications of each issue before introducing another problem that must be resolved RIGHT NOW, then i would be more forgiving. As it is, 3/5 for story. Good, but .... lacking, and way to short for an entire credit or a book. Brandon Sandersons Novella's are bigger. If you're shooting for a book, at least shoot for 8 hrs in length, otherwise categorize it as a novella plz.

"I don't know why I expected more but I did"

If this were a video game I would be more forgiving of the ridiculous nature of this storyline but it isn't. So I feel cheated. It had potential but lacked scope...drive....passion. Again I shouldn't complain but one thing I did like was the reduction in sexy scenes.

"I just wish it was longer"

As with the first book, I will start this review by saying you should not expect this book to be what is was not intended to be. It continues the story EXACTLY where the last book left off. It was almost as long as the first book, but it went by so darn fast, it felt WAY shorter. I would call that evidence of how entertaining it was. Gary Furlong is a FANTASTIC narrator! I would put him on par with the best narrators on Audible. I loved how the Archangels' names are feminine For the record, I enjoyed the hell out of this book!

    Story
"A good story, but stuttered constantly by an mc"

I like the theme, but the main character wastes so much time on pointless thoughts. Just random, stupid offshoots of ideas. I get it gives character and details, but it happens with literally everything. He spent a minute and a half on an offshoot about breasts. Outside of the main character's severe adhd, the story is nice and narration isn't bad.

"Good overall store but one complaint"

I really like the author and the overall story from the first book. I’m also going to purchase the third book and hope my one main complaint gets fixed.

The one main complaint is the main character just acts like a complete idiot sometimes. There are moments when he really shines, and you think he is maturing or progressing, then he reverts back to his old habits. I literally slapped my head in frustration with his decisions and action at certain moments.

The book is still good, but does have some “ really!,” moments.

    I would still recommend it.

"Another amazing read/listen from J.A. Cipriano"

In this, my eleventh read from author J.A. Cipriano, it all comes together! Outstanding & enjoyable read, especially for fans of FRP and so much more. The book continues seamlessly from book 1. So good I can't wait to delve into the next book in the series. Narrator Gary Furlong again lends his incredible talents to the reading of this book, his varied voice inflections add greatly to the enjoyment of the book.

    "Building up the story"

The first book set us up for a great series, and part 2 delivers on that set up. The darkness has not yet been defeated, but Arthur and his gang haven't given up. Unfortunately, this is the time that Mammon decides she should make a power play, leaving Arhur to fight a battle on three fronts, as not ony does he have the Darkness and Mammon to content with, but he also has to put the smackdown on some of Hell's royal elite as well.

I would say it looks like he is caught between the Scylla and Charybdis, but it is more the case that he is between some of Hell's beautiful succubi. Yeah, he's got it hard. Seriously, though, the book actually improves all around from the frst book, proving that J.A. only gets better as he ages. BG is packed full of pulse pounding action, more funny stuff, and hot ladies to a point that your fingers would smoke if you had to hold this book in your hands.

I reiterate, Furlong and Cipriano are a perfect match.

My question to you is, why are you reading this review instead of Builder's Greed? Go get this book now. I'm not gonna provide spoilers, but I will remind you that J.A. Cipriano has also written a most wonderful book called, The Pen is mightier. Brilliant stuff all around, go download this book now!!!!

    I said now!

You won't regret it. In fact, it has a very high probabilty of improving your mood. Avoid stress, enjoy life, nd read Builder's Greed today.

    "a bit more depth"

I can see the parallels with super sales, but with book 2, the author has put more emphasis on the development of the male protagonist and he's kept my interest in the lore of the world he's built. looking forward to the third book.
