Summary

The restoration of glory

After 4,000 years of waiting, Prophecy has been fulfilled! The Dark Lord Tommus, heir to the Throne of Orcus, has relit Mount Doom in the Abyss! It is time for the Orcs to reclaim their rightful place in the multiverse!

As the orcs rejoice and race to rebuild the connections between their worlds and the Abyss and the alvar gird for war, Tom discovers his new home comes with some unexpected guests - guests who may provide him with leverage in his conflict with the god Tiernon.

Hilda and the avatars of Tiernon work to establish a new base of operations upon the plains of Murgatroy to launch a rescue mission for Talarius.

Meanwhile, aboard Dante's Inferno, Oorstemoth and the Rod invade the Abyss on their joint mission to rescue Talarius and arrest Lord Edwyrd.

Exador needs the assistance of the Storm Lords to destroy Lenamare and the Council of Wizardry and seize The Book once and for all. In return, he must first recreate the lost works of the Dark Apostle.

Funny as all abyss

Enjoyed it a lot. Just finished listening too all three. If they could update the chapter selection from chapters to characters point of view instead I think it would be better.

You've got to read this

If you were listening to this this book or reading this book then you know a good book. I am hoping that the author will write a fourth book for this series because I for one can't stop reading this I want to know how it ends.

A Fun and Different Perspective on Fantasy

Any additional comments?

I think I need to clarify what I think about this book, particularly because I don't like fantasy. Fantasy, as I feel, as a strange feel to it where it seems as though they're so caught up in their world that they feel less epic and more like they're full of themselves. With this series, you find yourself questioning the world, getting tongue and cheek humor while also feeling for an actual expansive universe that makes SENSE. This is a universe that I just love coming back to, not only for the characters and story, but for the writing. Langland is an inspiring writer because while he doesn't write the wittiest or verbose dialogue, save for a certain set of someones, he's fun, interesting, and has damn good ideas that I'd love to see continue.

I seriously can't wait for the next installment!!

These books are amazing, I love the size the content the author the plot, the narrator, it would be easier to list things I don't like, witch I have to say is zero at the moment. Everything is so consistent and thought out. Masterfully done indeed.

Zzzzzzz.....

First i must say i enjoy this series overall. it is very unique and entertaining. Some great characters such as Tizzy, Hilda and Riodan. However the author is prone to excessive exposition and retelling over and over again of plot details that are not all that interesting. this book was a major filler but still reccomend the series overall.

95% drama and set up.

The first two books were truly eye opening experiences and everything went at an incredible pace.

This book is so slow I had a hard time keeping focus. It's not that nothing happens just all side stuff that leads to a big, kind of, conclusion at the end.

I felt personally let down because the battle at the end was very very very dull besides a few key parts that get you excited then it's back to snores Ville. Before that, only one battle happened and it wasnt very long.

Compared to the first to, this one is just average on every count. There was to many split stories all coming together in a very odd way. I get that is the point but I think this book took too long for everything to happen and there just wasn't enough action to keep me interested for long lengths of time. Definitely a start and stop book (this is coming from someone who has only been reading this series and nothing else).

Dont get me wrong, you should read the series it's worth every minute but expect to have to trudge through this one.

Wow, amazing how everything is linked together!!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Apostles of Doom to be better than the print version?

Yes, brings the characters to life!!

Any additional comments?

I drive an hr to and from work. I get lost in the story and it makes my drive time easy. I can't wait for the next book to be released on audio!!!!
