Publisher's Summary

When Aaron and his friends got sucked into the virtual reality game World of Ruul, they quickly realized the only way out would be to acquire all eight soulstones and beat the game.

Unfortunately, they've somehow managed to incur the wrath of the Skeleton King, an ancient warrior whose vengeance can only be quenched by blood and death.

Now, if they want to survive long enough to find those soulstones, they'll have to find a way to stop him.

    "good yo"

finished it quickly, only disappointment was the class choice. I feel like every litrpg I have read is another necromancer/dk.

the book is great but I personally don't like hearing the stats of every single summoned monster it puts a damper on the action.

"Litrpg new to me good for you"

Ok this was a good book a little weird and a little funny it had good character development my favorite part was when the main character stopped whining and finally just accepted his fate and became the bad add his gear allowed him to be. Over all the game world is very reminiscent of the starter area of world of warcraft."This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.

    "nerd humor"

I love how foul the rabbit's mouth is in the party. the humor is right in line with me and what I think is funny, so that is fantastic. really enjoy the way the characters of being written and found myself interested in the consequences of their actions. looking forward to more adventures in the world of this book.

    Story
"Could have been a good story"

I'd like to preface this by saying I'm a former active duty Marine, and current truck driver. So when I say this author uses an excessive amount of profanity, I'm not someone who has never been around profanity. As my former master sergeant would say... "Boy, you need to buy a dictionary and learn some new words." He was an old farm hand from Texas.

All of his characters quickly become the same inter changeable one dimensional character. No matter the book, setting, storyline or background.

Plot holes, bad writing, one dimensional characters, skip this one

    "The adventure continues."

The Skeleton King is the second book in the LitRPG World of Rull series by JA Cipriano and while I think I enjoyed book 1 more, this was still a great addition to the series and I can't wait for the next book. Loaded with plenty of action and fun characters (George the bunny is the best) this is definitely a series that any fan of LitRPGs should check out.

Like the first book in the series, this volume is narrated by Nik Magill who once again does a tremendous job bringing the story to life.

Where does Soulstone: The Skeleton King rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    Middle.

What did you like best about this story?

The story was interesting, like the general arc - some good original ideas in here.

    Which scene was your favorite?

    Spoiler alert!:

    Final victory (of the story)

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Honestly, I thought it was a bit needlessly heavy with language (curse words). Didn't laugh or cry about it, but did notice it. Foul-mouthed bunny (of destruction) aside, if shrinks are correct there are some seriously insecure people in here.

"Just as good as the first book"

Cipriano managed to make his world of Ruul more engaging that the first book with lots of great little details that were brought to life by Magill. His performance was flawless and was hard to not listen straight through at once. can't wait for thrle next book. Cipriano has something special with this series
