    "From Outta NOWHERE"

Ryk Brown seemed to BURST into the Sci-Fi Genre outta NOWHERE, and just gets better with each book... I'm wondering when the Writing is going to pay more than being a Paramedic, so he can just WRITE Full Time?!!?

(BTW, Thanks for "Being Out There" Ryk... I played at being a Nationally Registered Paramedic for several years after retiring from the Army, But I never did it "Full Time".. Too many "Frequent Fliers", and "Addicts wanting a Warm place to get High on cold nights" in this area... When the same person calls 911 for an Ambulance FROM A PHONE BOOTH, AT 11 PM, FOR A WEEK STRAIGHT, it makes me roll up and say things like: "Sigh...Get In The Back, You Know The Drill"... I took a Red Sharpie Marker on-shift without any good idea of WHY I had it with me, and when the 4th person that night "Just wanted to get checked", I reached for the Sharpie and STOPPED MYSELF before putting a Check Mark on their forehead... That was my last night on the trucks, because that's just NOT the attitude a caring Paramedic should have, even with "Drug Seekers"... You have my respect Bro!)

    "WOW!"

One of my favorite series! I was so upset when Nathan was handed over to be killed by the Jung in "That Which Other Men Cannot Do", I didn't want to keep listening, and doubly so when they changed the narrator. No one does Josh & Loki like Jeffrey Kafer. But I bit the bullet & continued the series. I'm so glad that I did.

Natan (Nathan) is back! ...and not just as Captain Tupo.

A rogue faction of warrior Jung cast has obtained jump technology and has occupied the Pentaras System. They have glassed the Gatajac worlds and Jung be warned!

Wonderful writing, Good plot and excellent performance by Jeffrey Kafer. Ryk Brown is truly a fantastic writer. I will be waiting anxiously for the next book to come out and please let it be that Jeffrey Kafer continue to be the narrator.

"Stop ending at the beginning of act 3!!"

it's fast and efficient writing, but damn those cliffhangers.

it's pulp, so it's short good and action-packed, but it would be great if it wasn't for the cliffhanger at the end, that feels like the author met some kind of word count limit

"Thrilled about the reboot of this series!"

When I found out that this book was available, I pre-ordered it right then and there. I love the series and having the same characters in it is just awesome as you tend to grow a bit attached to them! This book, I feel like, is setting the stage for some really awesome stories in the near future!

    "Slow, but worth it"

The second part of the Frontiers Saga is off to a rather slow start in my opinion. That's not necessarily bad, though, although I'm not sure how much would have been lost if the first three books were compressed into one. Then again, the combination of horribly slow audio version rollout and the terrible performance of the wrongly cast David Drummond in book 1 of part 2 might have something to do with it feeling like it's really been seven years since the end of part one.

What I can say for this book is that however long it takes to get there, the final scene of this book is well worth it, and you're never bored along the way.

    "Finally!"

It's like an old friend returning and all seems right from it!

With that said I am hoping to see what interesting twists will take with this story... I hope it won't be just one ship against an empire again, let's see some support and some new scenarios!
