Summary

After the horrors of Istvaan V, Horus declares outright war against the Imperium. In the shadows of the Emperor's Palace, powerful figures convene.

Their plan is to send a team of assassins to execute the arch-traitor Horus and end the war for the galaxy of mankind before it's even begun. But what they cannot know is that another assassin is abroad already, with his sights firmly set on killing the Emperor.

One of the best books on the series

This is one of the best books in the Horus Heresy series (so far) great character developments and so many plot twists kept me guessing a lot

One of the best yet in the series!!!

Loved this book from start to finish. It fills in a lot of the picture with the imperium and its inner workings especially in regards to the assassins.

Erebus!!

Where does Nemesis rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This one is ranked lower on the list in my opinion.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The most interesting aspect of this book was the antagonist. The least interesting would be the cliche relationships between the protagonists

Which scene was your favorite?

The assassination attempt in Horus on Dagonet.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Nemesis...this film will flop harder than the targets these assassins execute.

Any additional comments?

While it is a part of the Horus Heresy timeline it is one you can probably skip. The narrator blurs sections of chapters together and at points you don't know where you are in the story. The relationships between the characters seems cliche and forced, then they are seemingly discarded in a half worked game of thrones fashion.

Good side story for the heresy

Good side story. Does not advance the main plot. Can be skipped, but worth the listen if you like stories that do no focus on Space marines.

What did you love best about Nemesis?

The characters are great, the voice acting good.

I enjoyed the first 5 chapters which you can actually listen to, I tried returning the book and getting it again, all other books I have work great.

DONT EXPECT TO GET THE HOLE BOOK
