Short sweet same as the others :) (book 1.5)

Bridging the gap between book 1 and 2 this is a nice little novella to give you your reckoners fix. One warning it is very short.

Good little interlude

In anticipation of Reckoner's Book 2, I re-listened to Steelheart, and tacked on Mitosis for good measure.

Perfectly in keeping with Steelheart - characters and theme. Macleod Andrews is also absolutely consistent, so the effect is that this could be simply another chapter to Steelheart.

"Short, but perfectly baked" is my verdict. I wouldn't have wanted to spend a whole credit on something this short, but the sale price + an audible voucher I had, made it worth it.

Ready for the next book now.....

Superb Bridge Between Steelheart and Firefight

I enjoyed this short story which although not imperative to be read before Firefight I wanted to take in the whole story and I'm glad I did.

superheros from a different perspective

Where does Mitosis rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

it is a cool story, with a interesting twist on the idea of superheros and their place in the world. Not my favorite sanderson stories, but still very interesting and engaging. I got to the end and wanted more.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mitosis?

The ending, just want to know what will happen next

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Not wanting to spoil it but it is when the hero falls into darkness, to save them.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

when the suoerhero just wants you dead

Great short story following on from book 1

Great short story following on from book 1. Usual great performance and characters. Love all of his work and now it's time for Firefight book 2 I think?

To short

Good short story but could have been added to book 2. I didn’t realise it was only an hour long. Expensive for only an hour. Should be free when you purchase book one and two?.

A nice re-introduction

Story 4/5

A nice little story to get me back in the mood ready for 'Firefight', the second novel in the Reckoners series. It doesn't really give anything away, or help you to learn anything, but will be enjoyable if you were a fan of 'Steelheart'. It is full of action; the entire story is a fight between the Reckoners and a strong epic called Mitosis. It reminds us how far the characters have come, and how much stronger they are, which means the next novels are going to have to step it up a gear (knowing Sanderson, this won't be a problem).

Was it worth the money? Probably not. You will no doubt make you own mind up about the price though, and if it isn't an issue, you are sure to enjoy it.

Performance - 4.5/5

It's nice to get the same narrator doing the short stories and novellas as the main series. Macleod Andrews is spot on again with this. He has a strong American accent, which suits the characters in this story perfectly.
