    "Great book"

Enjoyed the series so much that after a year I had to listen to it again. I hate incomplete endings that does nothing to satisfy. Not the case here. I felt whole and satisfied. Thanks

Wow. this last book is such an increase in the story line. I was very impressed with the way the main character became two people.

"Not great writing, poor editing. But great story"

Really enjoyed this book. The writing is not good. The editing is flawed. The story is somewhat generic but compellingly told and performed.

"Great great ending in a wonderful story of a Mage."

I loved it, all of the books in this series were wonderfully executed. If you like magical origin stories, this is a must read.

    Story
"Anger and Death and Redemption (I guess)"

Kind of a let down really.

Let me start by saying that i started this franchise with Embers of Illeniel (the prequel) which is far and beyond better than the Mageborn series. And after 4 books of trying to figure out how Tennick and the others were involved in this series, we really get nothing. They aren't even players. They're just trees that send their minions out to barely help with the fight. All that build up for 2-1/2 books for this. Very sad.

As for Mordecai and Penny and the others, there story is good enough I guess. Predictable isn't the right word, but not a lot of suspense involved. Then there's all the death and Anger that evolves around every character. I won't post who all dies, but there are some big ones here. Just seemed like to me that everybody was either dying, killing or hating something and then in the end we were picking up the pieces.

Great reading by Mr. McLaren, but a disappointment for the book itself. I will still look forward though to the Ember's of Illeniel series.

    "Literary Perfection"

Masterfully finished by bringing the story full circle using in media rez. This book is without a doubt a perfect conclusion to an amazing series. I most certainly hope for more.
