Lots of potential

I like what this book was going for, but it missed the mark with some things. It felt much more like a Young Adult vampire book, but it happened to feature a M/M relationship and an incubus instead. Instead of feeding on blood, the incubus needs to feed on sexual energy. There’s just one sex scene which might take it out of the YA category I imagine. At least one of the characters was supposed to be 25, and I think the others were supposed to be similar. However, the author narrated her own book and she made one of the main characters sound like a teenage girl. You can’t really have a female narrator if all the characters are male - it just doesn’t work. Also, the main characters teenage-like immaturity saying “I’m not gay!” constantly and describing any emotion as being a “pansy girl” just seemed eye-rollingly juvenile and dated in this day and age. I think if this was rewritten to feature older teens it could get a really good young adult/teenage following as it had an almost Twilight feel about it and had lots of good aspects.
