Summary

As the War for the Realm of Life continues, Lord-Castellant Lorrus Grymn leads the battered remnants of the Steel Souls warrior chamber against the sargasso-citadels of the Verdant Bay. The Hallowed Knights claim victory, but at a terrible cost - Grymn is lost to Realm of Chaos.

Now Gardus, newly reforged and fresh from the destruction of the Scabrous Sprawl, must lead his warriors into the foetid heart of Nurgle's realm in search of the Lord-Castellant, where they must once more brave the horrors of the Realm of Decay....

enjoyable jaunt through the garden

I mostly stopped listening to GW novels and have struggled to get into the new novels but Josh really stands out as one of the best writers in the AOS books. the reading was also really good. storywise it's what you expect from a GW book so don't expect complicated character development and twists in the story... that being said it's entertaining!

Utterly Superb.

A thoroughly enjoyable story.

The narration was spot on, easy to listen to and had great intonation!

The best Age of Sigmar story yet, I can’t wait for the sequel, I need it now 😅!

I just cannot get my head around AoS

Got this in the hope that it would give me some understanding of the new universe. Unfortunately it seems all bolter p0rn nonsense wrapped in this ‘fantasy’ setting

Unless your a stormcast fan. This can be meh...

The battles are so one sided in the stormcasts's favor that it removes any sense of danger for the characters that would normally make these kind of books interesting or suspenseful. Feels like a missed opportunity. I gave it 3 stars solely for the reader. I loved the way he voiced Gutrot.

Great performance, book gets a bit slow in middle

As the title says, this book has a great start and a great ending. overall it provides an interesting look at the Stormcast as a whole. Lots of details! Worth it

Captivating brilliance & grasping plot development

I am a new reader to Warhammer. These 📚 books are very detailed & the story always seems to be exciting. The narrator is strong, well-spoken & linguistic in his reading. This was definitely a ln amusing book that kept me entertained. I recommend this to people who likr a good action story.
