Summary

How does Alburet feel about Stacia suddenly becoming his Succubus? How will her family react to her sudden change? While trying to handle this sudden transition, Mindblown is also going to take the server down for maintenance.

Alburet will have to deal with emotional turmoil, all while continuing to play the game he has been sentenced to play for life. What else is about to change in Alpha World?

Mindblown announces the ability to form guilds. Alburet sees an opportunity to form a guild himself and takes it.

Note: This is a continuation of the Alpha World saga. It contains real life situations, including sensual scenes that don't get fully graphic but might make you uncomfortable. It also contains hunting monsters and gaining levels, but not at a break-neck pace.

Could have gone better

The main character has turned into some creepy sex deviant...the story has pretty much slowed from the first book and after listening to the whole book i can safely say there won't be a third book for me to listen to.

boring

Really disliked all the sexuality and erotica.
I have nothing against erotic content, but in this story the main character is in his 40's and hi was actively trying to poke every female characters.

Brilliant sequel

I wasn't sure about Alpha world upon finishing the first book, I enjoyed the characters, but the cliffhanger at the end dangled the character over a dangerous devolution. Having finished the second book I am fully on board with this universe. The entire cast is well rounded and brilliantly realised. The fight scenes are intense and choreographed in a brilliant organised chaos that manages to bring the reader to the edge of their seat, a fabulous read.

eagerly anticipating the next in the series

I really enjoyed the second installment, I felt the story moved along nicely and reflected the title nicely.
I am looking forward to more in this series!

too heavy on the relationship for my taste

the gaming part of the book was good and I enjoyed it. However the romance Parts which was most of it was a little over-the-top for my taste.

Enough with the "Kitten"

Devolved into a teenage masochists idea of women. i had higher hopes after the first book. Periods of it seem like the writer had no idea where to go with it.

Romantic but done right

it might have been a bit romantic for some, such and probably at least 60 percent of the people that actually like books like this. On that note it was tasteful and well crafted and played in well to explain how the main character builds his relationship is this new world. Not only his personal one with his "girlfriend" but with the city and the people in it it's self. Fact is guy put away you're this is to love heavy and girly feeling's and enjoy this book it is a great ad to the series that was needed to explain much to come.

Excellent

Easily one of the best series for LitRPG. Awesome plot and very fleshed out characters. The rpg element of the game is fantastic and it doesn't feel like the protagonist has an "easy button" that is so often rampant in other books of the genre I've read. It would be even better if the narrator could have a touch more variety in the accents and tone of differing characters but overall well done. Keep them coming please!!!

Wonderful

A great addition to the series. I am happy I put off this series for so long because I was able to consume four titles in a straight go.

an excellent follow up to the first book

As with the first book, a lot of people have criticized this series saying things like there is no plot, too much sex, or whatever. I found the premise of the main character being a fallen law enforcement officer going into a long term virtual reality tester in an RPG really interesting. The main character's approach to the game is interesting in it's differences from "normal" gamers. I found the psychological aspects of the story really interesting. The superb narration helped the story come alive in my imagination. All in all, this was a fantastic and unique audio book that doesn't focus on the game mechanics above all else. I've already purchased the 3rd book.

Drops off about 1/3 in

I enjoyed the first alpha company book, it seemed to show promise, however this book does not deliver. It gets bogged down in a lot of high school esque social nonsense approximately 1/3 of the way in. The book also focuses on the “romance/sex” portions too much in my opinion. It’s like the author wanted to write a romance novel but needed to tie it to this series somehow. These parts are just graphic enough to be awkward when the come up on an open speaker, but not juicy enough to get off too, making them mostly just annoying. Ultimately it feels like the story didn’t really progress that much from the last book, and the progress it did make didn’t really come from any conflict or growth by the characters.

The narration is pretty good, although it seems as if he only has one setting, Intense. Overall I liked it from a production point of view

I won’t be continuing the series, which is sad because I thought it had much potential.
