Summary

Er ist der wohl einsamste Mensch der Galaxis: Dr. Eric Manoli, der Arzt, der mit Perry Rhodan zum Mond flog und dort auf die Außerirdischen traf. Zu Beginn des Jahres 2037 sitzt er auf dem fernen Planeten Topsid fest - als einziger Mensch unter Milliarden von intelligenten Echsen. Unter den fremdartigen Wesen muss sich der Arzt durchsetzen. Seine Lage wird angespannter, als ein verheerender Bürgerkrieg die Hauptstadt des Planeten erschüttert. In Begleitung einer ehemaligen Soldatin und einer mysteriösen Flugechse schlägt sich Manoli durch die Unterwelt der gigantischen Stadt. Sein Ziel ist der Raumhafen - dort will er versuchen, mithilfe eines Raumschiffes zurück zur Erde zu kommen. Auf der Erde selbst scheint alles seinen geregelten Gang zu gehen. Die Stadt Terrania als Keimzelle der vereinigten Menschheit wächst und gedeiht. Doch auch hier wird intrigiert und gespitzelt. Im Zentrum des Interesses steht der Stardust-Tower, das höchste Gebäude der Erde. Droht hier etwa ein Terror-Anschlag?
