After the deadliest virus known to man, law and order have collapsed. The surviving few are left to find their way among the ashes of civilization. Chaos reigns.

What if your preparations weren't enough?

Nick thought he was ready. He has a lodge in the mountains in New Mexico, packed full of supplies and ammo. He thought he could protect his family, but the virus took them anyway. Soon, he finds others that rely on him. With everything lost, can he find the strength in himself to go on?

Could you face your greatest fears?

Liz is trapped in Albuquerque. A dangerous battle rages around her, and she doesn't have long to live if she stays. The only way out is through the mountains, and there's only one man who can take her. But can she put her faith in a stranger's promise?

Only a few survived the outbreak, but that was just the beginning. Now they'll have to fight harder than ever to stay alive.

    Story
    "The hosta virus"

The Hosta virus, named after an attractive plant and which leaves it's victims grinning.
An excellent quick to read start to a new series which combines intelligence with a feeling of plausible reality.
After the virus sweeps around the world killing an estimated 96% of the population, four adults and a child come together to try to survive. They head out to a lodge in New Mexican,, but are any of them prepared for what lies ahead?
Andrew Tell's narration is excellent, the reading clear and well paced with good differentiation of character voices. A pleasure to hear.
I look forward to the next book of this hard action but, unusually, non hysterical series

"A very solid post apocalypse survival story"

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The overall premise is nothing new, a post apocalyptic survival story. That being said, I thought it was very well executed. I thought the narrator, too, did a good job of bringing the story to life. If you're a fan of this genre, and ok with it not being anything groundbreaking, than this is well worth your time.

    Story
    "Post apoc with a difference"

A good read, that left me wanting more!
Post apoc with a difference a main character who isn't a super prepper or perfect in his decision making. A guy who thinks he's prepared but find out the truth, and he and his companions make some pretty poor choices.
Well written and thought out, well edited.
Narrated in a comfortable style that made for easy listening.
Just want the next book NOW.

    Story
"Well written but very formulaic post apoc tell"

Fight to survive has promise in that it was very well written. The characters were not 2demensional. They lived, they breathed (thank you too to Andrew Tell for that) and you actually care about what will happen to them. There were even moments of true grief that were conveyed very well.
That being said, the story itself was very formulaic. End of the world due to a flu outbreak and people try to survive. No reinvention of the wheel but definitely has potential. It is a nice setup for what could possibly be a really good series.

The narrator did an excellent job at bringing the characters hopes, dreams and fears alive. Keep up the good work.

    Story
"Well Written, Well Paced, and Well Told"

After the Outbreak looks to be a good post-apocalyptic series with family as its focal point.
This first book in the series – Fight to Survive – did a good job setting the pace for the series and let us find out who was who and who makes up this family of refugee’s. There was some action in places but for the most part this book just mosies along at its own pace and gets the job done. Some might think it too slow and dragging along so if you are prone to those issues you might wish to pass on this one. But you will be missing a good start to what looks like a good series.

Andrew Tell did an excellent job narrating this story and his voice fit the story well. Characters were easy to identify and follow throughout the story.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were relatable and the story was captivating. Not your usual post apocalypse tale to say the least.

    Story
"5 strangers join together to survive "

This promises to be a good series. The basic plot is strangers that fate has put together due to a massive killer flu.

The characters are interesting 2 males and 2 females and a 9 yr old girl. The one fellow has his act together for the most part the other is the life of the party it seems.

The females one is a bit manipulative but solid otherwise and seems very bright. The other female is a generation Z type and clueless and the most frustrating character ( its all about me type) . The young girl is a prodigy

What makes the story interesting is the interaction. None of these people i could see getting along all that well much less friends. But they band together for safety in numbers and at times the differences cause friction ; Everyone is dealing with grief and loss as well

There is some violence but it is not over the top.
The narrator I have not heard before but he was good.He uses inflection thats varies for the females which makes it easier to associate characters with voices.

This is a series that based on the first book will be a good one

I was given this book to review by the author. My opinions are honest and what I thought and felt while listening

    Story
"Solid start to new survival series. "

Fight to Survive is the first book in a new survival series. Since I can't give half stars I'm rounding up to four stars for the story. It hits all the right beats for the genre, telling the stories of several characters who eventually come together in a struggle to survive, but what makes this book different from other such series is the disaster that befalls the world. It's a bizarre virus that reminded me of the Joker' Smilex gas from Batman, it's victim die with a horrible grin on their faces. Creepy and yet also kind of cool. I hope we find more out about it in future volumes.

The book is narrated by Andrew Tell, and while this is the first time I've heard his work I know it won't be the last. He has nice clean delivery, great use of inflection to bring the story alive. Took a look at his other work and already noted several works I'll be checking out in the near future.

    Story
    "Typical dystopian fiction"

For a change, this apocalypse isn't caused by an EMP. Other than that, though, this story is rather contrived and trite. The main characters are likable, but their actions aren't always logical or believable. Basically, this is stereotypical dystopian fiction.

Andrew Tell delivers a very satisfactory performance. His pacing is appropriate and his character voices are distinct enough to easily follow dialog.

    Story
    "Strangers forming Community"

This is a zombie free post apocalyptic story. That could be good or bad depending on your preferences. The story moves along well and follows several story lines that merge as strangers find each other and join to survive what's left of the world. Nothing new or unexpected here, but the story is delivered competently with no glaring errors or suspend disbelief moments. People act pretty much as you'd expect with a fair amount of normalcy bias. Overall a good effort with an inevitable sequel.
Narration is done very well by Andrew Tell. I'll look for more books with his narration.
