"Please tell me you are working on the next one!"
"It's nice to find a new idea on how people came to be zombies."
Civilization shuts down as the world's population fills the streets in a deadly orgy. They feel only pleasure and never pain, even as they are injured, maimed, and mutilated. The few who remain unaffected struggle to survive, unaware that things are about to get unbelievably worse.
Cooper is among the few survivors of an apocalypse that is a result of a conspiracy to depopulate the world. One week ago, college was his biggest concern. Now he is on a perilous journey to find his sister. But zombie attacks aren't the only threat he faces. In this nightmarish reality, the living can be far more dangerous in this new dystopia.
This book was easy to Listen to. Me beginning a huge zombie fan. I thought this book was very interesting.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
A new twist on the old zombie theme. Loved the way all the stories merged together towards the end in a believable, sensible ending.

This is a genre I enjoy reading/listening. Euphoria Z wasn't your typical cookie cutter zombie apocalypse story. It had enough unique elements to make it fresh - not cliche. I like that it wasn't all just action - boom, boom, boom - but a satisfying amount of character development before the thrills.
This is the first book by Roberto Scarlato I've heard. I have to admit, at first I wasn't sure if I was going to like his style of narrating - my first reaction was that it was somewhat stiff - but as the story developed I wasn't distracted at all - but immersed. And isn't that what the narrator is supposed to do? His voicings of the different characters were strong and distinct.
An enjoyable listen.

I'm absolutely speechless with this book, to be honest. I struggled BIG time to finish it because there was very little I liked about this, but finish it I did. Now I've read a lot of post apocalyptic fiction but none has come close to this in relation to the overall feeling of it. I'll start off by saying that how the Zombies started was unique, I mean the fact that they start off by being extremely happy and over affectionate was unique and I liked a whole 2 characters, Cooper and Sal but other than that, this book was, what felt like for me anyway, one long rant, debasing and derogatory story about fat people, gays, women, blacks and anything else they could find.
I know most post apocalyptic books have bad people doing even worse things and that doesn't bother me, but, this book was nothing but bad people doing disgusting things and the hateful and horrible stuff that was said was worse than the deeds. Example, and this is just the tip of the ice berg, laughing at a fat woman because she couldn't get up, calling women everything from bitches to whores, having them naked and locked in a cage, and as for the racial slurs!! It was just down right disgusting.
In all, this is a book I can't recommend, personally, but that's not to say that you won't enjoy it. I have book 2 for review but I'm not sure if I'll continue on. Maybe I'll listen to it for a while to see if the bad things above have become any better, but I'll have to see. My heart can't take any more hatred at the moment.
Roberto Scarlato did a good job. I had no problem at all with his narration, the book yes, but not him.
*I received a copy of this for review. This in no way affected my thoughts.*

I didn't care a lot for the cadance of the narration but everything else was good.
never heard such a horrible nerrator. total waste of money! good story though! but i will be returning this one!
unlike some others that waste your time then kill off the characters
fiction should not make you feel bad it's fiction
This is a good story. It's one of the rare stories I enjoyed listening to more than reading. Looking forward to next.
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Ehhh Idk....maybe if they liked the zombie genre...because this has a new fresh twist to it....
Would you be willing to try another book from Luke Ahearn? Why or why not?
I have, and I would...Luke writes well..but this book has some things in it that I disliked...but also things I liked...
What does Roberto Scarlato bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I love Roberto.he can read to me anytime!..
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Not really....made me mad...absolutely!
Any additional comments?
** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **
This is a fresh twist on the zompocalypse...but I still don't understand why these 9 rich dudes decided to wipe out most of the population....and they way this story hops around was really confusing at times....you really couldn't get a chance to solidly bond with anyone...that being said...Luke is a good writer...he is very descriptive, and paints a good clear picture...that is always an awesome thing in a book...especially in an audio book....
What I did like....I liked Cooper....he was really a good character...I would have liked this book more if his point of view and story was more of the focus...I liked the outbreak, how it started as a delirium and caused people to literally love each other to death...I liked Sal and the group...that is really needed in an end of the world situation...and I like the ending...it opened up this series to be something I want to know more about!
What I didn't like...The racial slurs, and fat hate...the multi character hopping around...the way certain parts made strippers look like promiscuous druggies...and bikers look like predators and women beaters...that is generalizing a whole group of people...and this story was very drawn out..it could have been condensed and been awesome, other than just ok....I still am extremely interested in book 2...
