Publisher's Summary

Every child of Woolpren dreams of becoming one, but only a few are chosen. Now, 10-year-old twin brother and sister, Ruskya and Duskya, have been selected to join an elite group of riders: dragon riders. Full of awe and excitement, the twins leave their mother, and their home, to train for their new lives.

Fifteen years later, dragons are becoming extinct and riders are rare. One day, Ruskya is at the general store in town when a man announces that he is recruiting new dragon riders. Ruskya goes undercover, and discovers that there is another colony of riders with their own agenda - a quest to find a mysterious plant that could restore the dragon population, or destroy it. When a battle erupts between the two colonies, it's up to Ruskya and his friends to fight for their dragons' future, and their lives.

Follow Ruskya's quest as he finds courage and friendship in this exciting middle grade fantasy series by Kandi J Wyatt.

    Story
".YA Fantasy that will blow your mind."

The story, the characters, the pace -- everything is perfect There are so many other things left unsaid, only a fraction of the story told in this installment, in spite of its overall complexity. Dragon's Future has the potential to become a worldwide phenomenon with an upcoming movie, but the series has the potential to become a representative of a unique and daring wave of YA literature. This being said, the sequel cannot come fast enough! Esther hardcastle made me cry, laugh, gasp and her narration was utter beauty.Especially at the start of the book .It was tenderly heartbreaking.I have listened to another book that she narrated but it is so wildly different I couldn't believe it. I enjoyed the other one but didn't fully realize her range and how much power she could pour in to the words of this enchanting tale weaving a spell around the listeners .I have never read anything by Kandi J Wyatt before but now I will be actively looking for other books by her.Together author and narrator a total dream team.Bold, imaginative and incredibly thrilling, Dragon's Futuresets the bar up a notch with this vivid portrayal of duty versus free-will. This blend of fantasy with just a touch of dystopian flavor will make the readers devour every word, delighting in a gorgeously written story about freedom, destiny, Magic and so so much more. It's an instant favorite of mine and I hope that if you haven't read it yet, you will pick it up on the first occasion, because Dragon's Future is worth every praise it got. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review. As always this is my honest opinion .

    Story
"There be dragons here, and there."

This is one of those cute story's that makes you just want to keep listening. If your a young reader be warned there is talk of death but its not graphic and its short, it is also important to the story. I cant wait to listen to the next book.
I was given this book for free in exchange for an unbiased review, thank you so much

"Not all dragons are the same."
What didn’t you like about Esther Hardcastle’s performance?

She made this story very hard to get through. Her voice and the tempo is something that drove me nuts. She has a monotone voice and her inflection seems to just be nonexistent. I do not think I can listen to another book from this narrator.

    Any additional comments?

I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

This book is about dragons. The story follows Ruskya and other dragon riders. Dragons have been around and plentiful however after a couple of years dragons seem to be going extinct. There are not as many as dragons as there once was. Ruskya is on a mission trying to find out why dragons are disappearing. Come to find out things are not what they seem.

A war is brewing and no one seems to know why certain dragons and riders are attacking innocents. There are so many questions that need to be answered and we do not get them until the end of the story.

This story is a good one and I will continue the series but only via Kindle or Paperback.

    "A decent YA fantasy book"

I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This was a pretty decent fantasy book, though it is a YA one. It was a "coming of age" style story involving dragons and humans and their relationships. The narrator was good and the story held my interest. I'm contemplating playing this one for my son to see if he would like it.

"Coming Of Age Tale with Dragons"

I liked the story and enjoyed the relationships between dragon and human. It was a little difficult to follow in Audio since the names are extremely similar sounding. It took awhile to get into the story and there were parts that did not keep me engaged but for the most part it was a likable tale. Esther Hardcastle sis a great narration, I have no clue how she kept all of those names straight. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

    Story
    "Surprised"

I am not a reader of YA fiction often but this book was very good. The bond between dragons and riders was incredible. I enjoyed the way the story unfolded. As I listened to the book I begin to realize that for each set of twins born there was a set of dragon twins born as well. The father's disappearance was worrisome. I loved the interaction between the twins, Carol and the new rider. The narrator was very good and I understood the difference between the twins names very well. I got this book via audiobook boom.

The story, characters and narration all came together to make a wonderful clean fantasy. The way this author described the dragons and their riders made them real in your mind. A must read. I received this audiobook for free and voluntarily reviewed.

    Story
    "Dragons Galore"

Summary: This is a story about dragons and the people who ride them. The dragon population is dwindling. If nothing’s done, the entire colony could cease to exist.

    Additional Comments:
    - It took me a while to get into the story, but the end fits well and is awesome. There’s a lot of setup that needs to happen.
    - The names were a tad difficult to follow in audio format. Ruskya and Duskya, Kyn, Wynn (spelling??), etc. It was hard to keep straight who was a dragon and who was a human. I feel like seeing the words would have made that easier somehow. At least there was also a Carol.
    - The performance was okay. The narrator was good but didn’t have a great range of characters so it was difficult to delineate who was speaking based on voice alone.
    - There are a lot of things to love in here: dragons!, the ability to ride them, mental connections, twin bonds, bad guys, and a ton of great characters. (Yes, distinguishing could be difficult, but there were a ton of people who were so down to earth. You just want to spend an afternoon getting to know them.)
    - Duskya could have had more page time, but for the most part, there’s decent balance between who gets to be in what scene.
    - I think the story’s aimed at the middle grade audience, so even though there’s violence you’ll find it scrubbed fairly well.

Conclusion: This is the type of story that would be good on a long car ride. It’s something to share with younger children. If you love dragons, you won’t want to miss Dragon’s Future.
