Publisher's Summary

It's been three years since we failed Vicky, the child once known as Elizabeth Gray. Three years she's lived as something not quite alive, but far from dead. Her path grows darker, even as she spreads light and hope through a tortured world. The Destroyer has come to claim her, and I can't fail her again. I won't. Elizabeth's fate lies in the Burning Lands, and we will storm the gates.

"Book 5 and already want 6"

Still following Vesik and his motley crew of misfits. Not sure that the characters in this story get enough sleep. I like that each book flows right into the next and we don't have to imagine long periods of down time. Vesik and his crew keep on fighting the good fight while the world goes to hell around them. I liked the description of the burning lands and how it helps flesh out Asher's worlds. If you haven't read any of this series go get books 1 through 4 and catch up.

    "Another excellent read!"

So packed with action, darkness, and light. Friendship, heartbreak, and love! I loved seeing more of Jasper and Bubbles! All these characters are just amazing. The imagination of this author continues to charm and enthrall me. And, I really can't imagine any other narrator for this series, he's simply perfect!

this is an excellent series if you like urban fantasy start with Days Gone Bad otherwise you will be a little lost. if you have read or listened to the other books in the series and liked them you will like this. The performance is up to the same standard as the others in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
