Summary

Carnage is now a number-one best seller in Dystopian Science Fiction, number one in War and Military Action Fiction, and an Amazon overall Top 100 best seller.

Alpha team looks the devil in the eye.

After recovering Patient Zero, Alpha must escape Africa to end the ZA once and for all. But they can feel the hot breath of a reinforced and vengeful Spetsnaz team on their necks - and there can be no escaping the reckoning of an ultimate sniper showdown between Ali and Vasily, and an incomparably brutal iron-cage Texas death match between Predator and Misha. For the first time, all the teams will come together and must fight as brothers for any chance of making it back to Britain. And only one thing is certain - not everyone is walking away from this one.

One Troop rallies against decimation and defeat.

After rescuing Aliyev, One Troop is pinned down in Red Square between a surging singularity and the merciless killers of Spetsnaz Alfa Group. They're about to lose their second aircraft, they still don't have the zombie-killing MZ, and the clock is ticking down on their pinhole of escape. Only the most vicious and desperate gambit can give them a chance of saving London, not to mention themselves - but Jameson refuses to fail.

The crew of the Kennedy battles back.

With the bridge and most critical stations held by the world's deadliest maritime commando force and Dr. Park pinned down by a smash-mouth battle and last stand in the ship's hospital, time is running out for the shell-shocked and outgunned crew of the JFK to fight back. The ultimate heroism and sacrifice of everyone from storekeepers all the way up to Commander Drake himself will be required to fight their way back from the brink....

Defiance. Valor. Consecration. Carnage.

Gloriose enim magnificatus est ridiculum!

Please forgive the undoubtedly poor Latin translation but this is so genuinely "Gloriously Ridiculous" that it felt like it needed something more grandiose as a title! This is yet another massively high octane episode of the Arisen series. A book that lasts twice as long as the events it describes and yet feels like it is running at absolutely breakneck pace from start to finish. It scales the heights of absurdity at times but if that's a problem to you then you wouldn't have got this far. This one does though feature some super-hero like performances from some of the operators at times!

I know that some people think this series needs to be brought to a conclusion and I do accept the point but I will sure miss it when it's over and done. There are hints in this one that we are not too far from the end in "Carnage".

As for the narration . . . well who else could do one of these but RC Bray? A man who could read me the telephone directory for an hour and make it sound exciting. So, if you liked what went before and want some more then hit the purchase button without fear. If you're new to the Arisen series then start from the beginning; if you like this kind of thing you won't regret it.

Needs 10 stars all round, just awesome!

This is the best series I've come across even if the genre is a little out of my usual zone and these books have fast become one, I'd listen to again. (something that I'd never do, so so many great books out there)

The story lines that follow these characters just has you on the edge of your seat. Your heart in your throat and tears streaming down your cheeks.

Of course it is one of the hardest books on you emotionally. These characters you've come to love over the course of what 100 hours of listening! so as everything heads to the final battles and towards closure. It's enough to drive you wild.

I did think this was the last, but it seems that there's more, omg I seriously can't wait. But there are a good few story lines that do need final closure.

Huge thank you to RC Bray who nails these characters and the tone and setting. And of course, thank you to the writer. :) you both rock.

:) ps when is the next one out..... hahah

Another non stop rollercoaster installment

Exciting and emotional. Normally I would have tired of a series this long but it continues to get better. RC Bray is at his best.

Gripping narration by a master of an epic mission

I’ve just finished the nail biting book 12 “carnage” and it lived up to its name!! Multiple “whiskey tango foxtrot” moments, epic battles and witty banter. Redemption for some, last stands for others. If you thought the early books were good the buckle up and strap in for this one. I literally couldn’t put it down, action, suspense a plenty.

The episode we've all been waiting for.

These books are awesome fodder to motivate me out running. There have been a few slower ones but this is the one I was waiting for. Excellent work, I ran two extra miles to finish it today.
