Book 3 of the Demon Accords.

Partnered in an uneasy alliance with federal law enforcement, Chris Gordon has been hunting down the outlaw gang Loki's Spawn, who attacked his vampire girlfriend. "I Can't Get Enough Of This Series!!!!!!"
What made the experience of listening to Brutal Asset the most enjoyable?

As much as I like the world I feel its the characters that make this an enjoyable series.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Brutal Asset?

The death a certain character came close to making me cry.

Have you listened to any of James Patrick Cronin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He has voice the last two books of the series as well as the remain books currently available.and gives the characters a better voice than anything I could think of in my head.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    YES!!!!!

    Any additional comments?

This series only gets better with each book, any fan of urban fantasy should at the very least give this series a try.

Most good books have a great main character and a few interesting secondary characters. I find most of the secondary characters just as interesting as the main. Only complaint, I felt the story stalled a few times, especially Chris at school. Overall though, great narration and a great listen!

    "Very Enjoyable Listen"

This series is a great getaway series. Lots of action and humor. Easy to follow storyline, likeable characters and plenty of characters to hate. I like that you don't have to read (listen) to 3 books to get some closure. I almost gave up after book 2 thinking it might be a wee bit too violent for me, but bought book 3 and I am glad I did. I find myself laughing out loud in public places and getting strange looks, but can't help myself. Overall a very enjoyable series.

Again! This is not literary award material and I don't think it's intended to be. If you are looking for mind bending edge of your seat literature there are lots of other tittles from other authors! This is my third listen of the series and I'm getting attached to some of the characters. Some books are meant for reading others for listening. Conroe falls in this last category, fast moving urban phantasy, lots of action, a bit of romance, a dab of funny, a drop of technology, a smidgeon of gunplay, but above all: an easy listen...

"I'm So Cool that Even My Weaknesses are Awesome!"

First book was good, second slipped, third book has just gone too far. I've seen stories done right with a superhuman person who grows gradually in power. That's not our hero. He goes from special to Superman in 2 books. His weaknesses are his Super hot Vamp GF and having to eat a ton? Seriously?

Good series. Good writing. Exceptional narration. This series just keeps getting better and better. Chris's abilities grow with every book. I do recommend that you start from book one to get the maximum enjoyment from the series. You won't regret it.

"Yes he is a powerful hero"
    Any additional comments?

I love these book, it is my third favorite series right behind Brandon Sanderson :The way of Kings and Orson's: Enders Game.I do know that there are people who do not like this book series. For the simple fact that Chris can always come out on top of any given situation. The people who do not like these book love to read about a Hero who literally fails the whole book and some how barely survives to the next book only to fail some more. I just can't get behind that. That is the most annoying thing ever. Why would you want to read about some who suck. I'll tell you it's because they are haters. They do not want to think that some can successful and competent because it makes them feel bad about themselves. But if the hero of the story messes up just like them then they can feel better about themselves in comparison.

    "Good Read!!"

After reading book one I found that I enjoyed the plot of this series. Not to mention the main hero. He reminds of herorine in the charley Davidson series the two series are very similar . My only delema is the amount of books in this series. I've noted some series that have more than 10 books start to lose my interest...hopfully this series can keep my interest.

    "Enjoying the Series"

I have to say that I am beginning to really enjoy the spread out story line of this series. The advantage I see of this series over some of the others I have followed is that the scope of the basis for the books have not become so distorted and over grown that the whole concept has become improbable. You know, the huge battles between the forces of darkness against the forces of light in the middle of a large metropolitan area with millions seeing it all. Yet, the government bullies everyone into keeping their mouths shut or everyone forgets about it somehow. I hope this series doesn't go that way.
