Summary

Based on the true story of Countess Elizabeth Bathory, perhaps one of the greatest mass murderers of all time. She was a woman who tortured and killed over 600 young women for their blood.

Too noble to be executed, in 1610 the 'Bloody Lady of Cachtice' was bricked up in a set of rooms in her own castle in Slovakia. Why then should the young and beautiful Katya be at the castle door attracting the close attention of the gaoler and wanting a job looking after Countess? Is it revenge or some more ghostly visit from Bathory's past? And if she should help her escape....

Pull on your headphones and Horror-fi yourself. Critic reviews

"This is another type of experience, another level for audio drama, I have listened to plenty of excellent audio drama by the BBC but Horror-fi makes audio drama even better." (Elena Agullo Bernabeau)

This is the future of audio drama!

Great story, really well acted....and the delivery - wow! If you want to get totally absorbed in a story this is the future. Ideal for the horror genre, the atmosphere created through the binaural recording puts you at the heart of the action - you are simply 'in' the story and makes for a brilliant listening experience.

A horror tastic experience

Beautiful horrific voice acting for this 3D horror fi audio book, the dripping of water as they travel in the castle and the foot prints echoing as they enter deeper into the depths of shadows.

I loved this experience and story, the only little problem I had was the audio levels of the characters, in order to hear someone I turnt it up, to then be blasted in the ears by someone else nearer to the viewers view point. Or to hear the added sounds and atmosphere you need it all the way up to be blasted from both sides when things get heated.

Overall I loved it, but this volume levels are the only factor preventing this book from getting a 5 outta 5.
