Summary

After his miraculous weekend in 1986, Craig Pelling returned to a future he could never have envisaged. Even by his own hapless standards, his plans have spectacularly backfired. Everything he tried to fix is now broken, and a bleak, lonely existence is all Craig has to look forward to.

Does he face that future or does he try to seek answers? Either way, an emotional rollercoaster ride beckons. Can Craig can find closure before it ends? Or does fate have a few more twists in store for him, beyond Broadhall?

Great story - despite the YA tone at times

Very low key and at times didactic time travel ditty. Tighter editing would have helped - particularly the painfully drawn out, teacher’s going to tell you story now children, ending. Notwithstanding, great performance and very enjoyable.

Better then the first one

The first book takes a long time to setup the story for this book. I endured rather then enjoyed the first book. However Beyond Broadhall is fantastic we’ll worth it.

Great conclusion to '86 fix

After finishing the 86 fix I couldn't wait for this and I wasn't disappointed. A bit depressing in bits but that just added to the story. Not the best narration but I got used to it!

Brilliant book

Wow. The 86 mix left me feeling a bit flat but this more than makes up for it. Heart warming, funny and easy to relate too (I’m 43).
My new favourite author 👍

A bit preachy but very uplifting

This book is an excellent conclusion to a very well thought out story. It's a little bit Disney in its ending but really if it ended any other way it'd probably annoy everyone.

having read the reviews of the previous book in the series I know it was a bit Marmite with half the readers loving the ending and the other half hating it. I personally this the first book ends well and I'm heartened to see the author didn't get too carried away with the conclusion of this book. I can honestly say that however you feel about book 1 this is definitely worth reading/listening too.

Keith's sense of humour is very British which is always a tick in the plus box. keep an eye out for the subtle reference to the reviews on book one that gave me a good chuckle. I'm pleased to see even more humour in this book despite some dark subjects being addressed.

I was very impressed with the authors ability to take a fantastical story ark and yet somehow keep the narrative very grounded.

I must admit I'm not a big fan of Andy Cresswell I find him a bit monotone obviously not enough to put me off listening to the book. His attempts at portraying female characters I found to particularly jarring. All that his delivery does suit Craig but I would have liked to see a little more animation as Craig's personality develops.

Overall I would definitely recommend the book especially if you enjoyed the first book (whatever your opinion of the ending).

This is my life, minus the time travel

The first book shared many similarities with my life (age, overweight, working in retail management)

Good sequel

Fairly predictable ending but entertaining nonetheless… it was a good sequel to the 86 fix…

An imaginative captivating storyline

This is not the usual type of read or listening I go for. But I wanted some thing different. Although the story line was a bit slow at first I was soon entertained. Just by chance whilst scanning the Amazon read's I saw the blub and then read the reviews. Which I might add I always do about a book or an audio book then I make the decision to commit. If you're looking for something different to your normal style give this a go you won't be disappointed
