Summary

After the destruction of Monarchia and the Emperor's reprimanding of the Word Bearers Legion, the primarch Lorgar spent many long years searching the stars for the universal truths of the cosmos - when he finally came to gaze deep into the Eye of Terror, with grim inevitability he found that the Eye stared back.

Now, guided by the daemon Ingethel, he undertakes a spiritual journey into the heart of Chaos itself and sees that the entire destiny of mankind and the Imperium could rest upon just a few nexus events. As the Great Crusade burns itself out in treachery and deceit, Lorgar weighs the cost of his ambitions and sets his course for eternal damnation.

A magnificent book!

Bowden at his best. I've read this book several times over the years and it is still one of the best in the Heresy series. Toby Longworth is as brilliant as ever, bringing life and realisms to both Primarch and Demon alike. A must read for any true Warhammer fan.

More Lorgar lore

A further explanation of what Lorgar saw during his pilgrimage into the immaterium, also that maybe Horus was the wrong choice for the pantheon . Great narration but after first heretic I can only hear Gareth Armstrong’s voice as Lorgar

Arch- Traitor

Of all the shorter novella styled releases this is one of my favourites. it really complements the first heretic well in fleshing out the motive behind Lorgar and shows he isn't as foolish as at first glance in the Horus heresy. it also adds substance to his humane side in persecuting the Holy Crusade. I especially love the exchanges with 'Fulgrim'. A must for a Word Bearer fan and an avid heresy goer.
