Publisher's Summary

A Fate of Dragons (Book 3 in the Sorcerer's Ring) takes us deeper into Thor's epic journey to becoming a warrior, as he journeys across the Sea of Fire to the dragon's Isle of Mist. An unforgiving place, home to the most elite warriors of the world, Thor's powers and abilities deepen as he trains. His friendships deepen, too, as they face adversities together, beyond what they could imagine. But as they find themselves up against unimaginable monsters, The Hundred quickly goes from training session to a matter of life or death. Not all will survive.

Along the way, Thor's dreams, along with his mysterious encounters with Argon, will continue to plague him, to press him to try to learn more about who he is, who his mother is, and what the source of his powers are. What is his destiny?

Back in the Ring, matters are getting much worse. As Kendrick is imprisoned, Gwendolyn finds it landing on her to try to save him, to save the Ring by bringing down her brother Gareth. She hunts for clues for her father's murderer along with her brother Godfrey, and along the way, the two of them will become much closer, united in their cause. But Gwendolyn finds herself in mortal danger as she presses too deep, and she may be in over her head.

Gareth attempts to wield the Dynasty Sword and learns what it means to be King, becoming drunk with the abuse of power. He rules ruthlessly, becoming paranoid. As the noose tightens on the king's assassin, the McClouds attack deeper into the Ring, and King's Court finds itself in an increasingly precarious position.

Gwendolyn pines for Thor's return, for them to be together, for their love to blossom. But with powerful forces in their way, it is questionable if that chance will ever come.

Will Thor survive The Hundred? Will King's Court collapse? Will MacGil's murderer be found? Will Gwendolyn end up with Thor? And will Thor finally learn the secret of his destiny?

What the Critics Say

"A breathtaking new epic fantasy series. Morgan Rice does it again! This magical saga reminds me of the best of J.K. Rowling, George R.R. Martin, Rick Riordan, Christopher Paolini and J.R.R. Tolkien. I couldn't put it down!" (Allegra Skye, Bestselling author of Saved)

"The Sorcerer's Ring has all the ingredients for an instant success: plots, counterplots, mystery, valiant knights, and blossoming relationships replete with broken hearts, deception and betrayal. It will keep you entertained for hours, and will satisfy all ages. Recommended for the permanent library of all fantasy readers." (Books and Movie Reviews, Roberto Mattos)

    "Page turner"

Exciting, makes me just want to keep listening to the whole series. Brilliantly narrated by Will Farrell. Dramatic and a well told story

"Great story line & Narrator but the author sucks!"

Most grammatically annoying author ever! Oops, I didn't mean to use one of this author's favorite overused and abused adverbs on you. The only word verbally abused more you ask? That would be (feel)...

"Well worn tale loosely connected by too many words"

Author could be a talented 15-yr-old. This is a familiar medieval theme. S tory verbosely told in worn-out phrases. Vocabulary occasionally stretched beyond author's understanding. There is promise but needs a lot of work and a tough editor.

    "Enjoyable"

Really good concept yet the execution was sub Par. The narrator reads ridiculously slow. I had to speed up to 1.5x just to tolerate. Though he was slow, he did a good job.

"Narrator reads the wrong title for the book"
What would have made A Fate of Dragons better?

The fate of dragons would have been improved if the whole series felt more cohesive in the world building.

What was most disappointing about Morgan Rice’s story?

As part of a series this book seems to have no beginning or end. very unsatifying

How did the narrator detract from the book?

THe narrator read the Title of the Book Wrong!!!!! He called it feast instead of fate.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A Fate of Dragons?

I would have made the whole dragon scene seem more "realistic". When readers suspend belief for a fantasy book the reader does not suspend common sense.

"Remarkable! Edge of my seat thrilling."

Why can I not help myself? I'm getting more enthralled with each chapter, and I just can't wait to start on the next book in the series. It's a PG version of GOT! Provoking my profound imagination & curiosity via inspirational & colorful fantasies, creatures, empathetic underdog protagonists, & more. He produced heart-pounding, edge-of-seat situations from the ending of the first book to EVERY word spoken in the series since. I'm extremely impressed (I've always bored easily) & impatiently awaiting to finish all of them. Thank you!

    "Im Going Broke!"

The storyline and the reader of this story are fantastic. The story is holding my attention. i still roll my eyes at Thor and Erec...so childish. The author of the story repeats certain things over and over and over which get on my nerves. Other than these things I mentioned, the story is really good. on to the next book.

    ""hardly believe...""

I struggle to get through the story for a few reasons. The character development seems to be fairly shallow. I also felt that the storyline in many ways was very predictable. the characters seem to do a lot of violent things which seem extreme in my opinion. the other thing that attracts me from the story is how often the phrase "hardly believe" is used. I also found it at times difficult to suspend my belief with what was happening to the main characters.

    "Enough already!"

Lol, I stupidly bought the whole series because I am such a huge fantasy lover, but this series has blown my mind - with its horrible-ness. Bad grammar, repetition, unrealistic and horribly exaggerated dialogue. I have seriously never rolled my eyes so many times during a book. I am determined to get through these books because I paid for them (stupid!). I may have to give myself a medal if I survive. 😐🔫
