Summary

Schizophrenia is a mental disorder with lots of complications. Although it cannot be completely overcome in the sense that the disorder will disappear, there are ways to cope with and reduce the symptoms. The author has experienced the struggles with schizophrenics himself, and relates the information and clinical research to his own experiences with one of his friends.

Amazing book

If you are looking for a quick guide that is easy to understand and contains all the relevant information about schizophrenia, this can be the book you are looking for.
It is not a professional, in-depth research or medical textbook. It is written in plain language so everyone can understand it. Schizophrenia is extremely complicated condition and it is not a bad idea to educate yourself because you can never know when you might need some information on this sensitive topic. I recommend this book to start.

This is like an intro to schizophrenia book

This is like an intro to schizophrenia book. It was informative and helpful.I used this for a psych class and was able to get all the information I needed. I'd say this book is well worth it for someone who has schizophrenia or think they may have it..it provides a decent well-rounded explanation and understanding.

Author nailed it.

This is a great, short and informative guide covering various aspects of schizophrenia and its subtypes and related disorders. I'd recommend anyone wanting to know more to share this.

My First Audio Book

The book helped me understand better what someone with schizophrenia is experiencing. Sure I need to read and experience more to be a good clinician and this book in its own way was encouraging to do just that.
I would definitely recommend this book. As a side note, I have added several of the author’s other books to my reading list.

Very informative!

I thought this book was perfect as a beginning to understanding schitzophrenia. While I wish the author would have gone a little more in depth to a schizophrenic's emotions, the book served as a wonderful stepping stone on gaining more knowledge. thank you!!

Mostly Good But Some Misinformation

They say childhood schizophrenia doesn’t exist and that’s not true. This shows poor research on the part of the author.
