Love Shakespeare but I downloaded this due to one name...

And that one name is a brilliant and sadly underrated British actor named JEREMY BRETT (Nov 3, 1933 - Sep 12, 1995). Yes, I know he’s been most famously known internationally for portraying the super sleuth, Sherlock Holmes, in the Granada series (ITV UK) in 1984-1984. I’m such a huge fan of his, not only for being Sherlock Holmes, but as a Shakespearian actor as well. I first listened to him played Berowne in “The Love’s Labour’s Lost” in the audiobook with Derek Jacobi and Geraldine McEwan, and I was instantly hooked, even until now. He surely had the most amazing voice and commanding presence! How I wish there were more of him in this recording. He only seemed to play Bassanio in “The Merchant of Venice” (a role in which he also played in a movie with the same title with his National Theatre mentor, Sir Laurence Olivier who played Shylock) and probably Brutus in “Julius Caesar.” Really wish there were more of him. Forgive me for being biased.

More info please!

The performance is great, but unless you are very familiar with Shakespeare, you cannot tell which plan and which scene each extract is from and who are performing! If you bought this in old audio tape format, the information was supplied. The same should be given to the purchaser of audio download. Some audio lecture courses do just that. Very much disappointed in this account, especially this supposed to be a great 'introduction' to the Bard.
