Summary

At 18, Lux is forced to make a choice that nearly destroys her. She breaks a boy's heart. She breaks her own, too. Seven years later, Lux never expects to see Sebastian again, especially not when her career as a journalist is hanging by a thread and she's stumbled onto the story of a lifetime. As she chases down leads and explores the dark underbelly of Manhattan, Lux will put her life on the line. But after crossing paths with a still-unforgiving Sebastian, it's her heart that she's most worried about. Amid the blame and the betrayal, the hurt and the heartbreak, can two lost lovers ever find their way back to one another?

Started okay then became a crime story

I skipped through so many chapters of this before I finally gave up. It started well enough but I didn't really feel the MCs connection because of the way the story is laid out - the reader is told they loved each other but the proof or scenes when they experienced young love are few and far between. Also one of the first chapters is of her breaking them up so I didn't feel the lurve.

There is also a lot of the heroine's internal dialogue which was belabored and slowed everything down. It's one of the reasons why this book is 15 hrs long.

Oh yeah, she also becomes Nancy Drew here and investigates a crime yada yada and that really broke the camel's back for me. Gave up at about 60%.

Also what is a "small infinite amount of time"? It's infinite so how can it be small or big?

I'll see myself out.

Nice book

I like this book because of the relationship between the siblings . The letters will bring you to tears . I didn't really care for the Nancy Drew part of the story but the other parts I enjoyed

I loved this book

I've read this book twice since it first came out and absolutely loved it. I was nervous about getting the audiobook since I don't like a lot of female narrators. I'm so glad I did! The narrator on this only made a book I absolutely loved even better. I laughed, I cried, I loved every minute of it.
