Isn’t it just so great when you find one of those books that completely drags you in and demands that you sit on the edge of your seat and looking forward to next installment This is one of those books for me

Enjoyable characters, worldbuilding and clever use of time loop mechanics. Narration was pure class and really complimented the author's awesome storytelling.

Running a bad review kind of hurts because I like Raven dagger’s work in general fluff is one of my favourite series on Audible but I had to put down this book because there’s some really creepy voyeuristic kind of elements into it I’d feel less bad about it if it’s had it more on the tags or the description the romance elements have seen so far don’t feel like romance elements and feel more like leering with the main cast included feels like they’re only there to like takeoff character archetypes people think are hot with them in explicitly interested in the main character despite the main character not really showing any reasons for people to be attracted to them as well as the main character’s personality just feels a bit off for what they’ve been through. They’ve been through an intense life or death experience some real. Trauma but it doesn’t seem to affect the way they act at all they feel like a very generic main character who just randomly acquired superpowers weather setting which doesn’t feel thought out and just sort of like a default sci-fi/progression fantasy setting saying this about The so that feels like pulling out a rotten tooth because I genuinely like a lot of their work it’s probably partially why this review is a bit more harsh since it feels a bit disappointing. Raven’s dagger has an extremely large output of books and at their worst they feel like they’re just going through as many marketable genres writing stuff as fast as possible to fit search tags with no identity or world building that makes the story feel fall out or sincere I really have a Lovehate relationship with this author I can generally recommend a lot of their work but it feels like a 50-50 curve when it sometimes feels like it’s completely different authors writing the books when you jump to one book to series to another inconsistent I don’t know. I feel guilty posting this but I’ll post it anyway the first bad review on Audible back with an ortho that clearly has so much talent I feel like criticism is important because they can do great stuff but this is not it
