©2019 Mia Sheridan (P)2019 Audible, Inc.I don't know how she does it, but she draws you into incredible stories where you feel everything and they have these twists and turns, leaving you holding your breath but then leaves you feeling all warm on the inside at the end, as it should be.
This book, however, is dark and has triggers involving children and when they talk of evil, it is only the human kind that is truly evil. This is basically about a boy who has to literally fend on his own from the age of six or seven in the wild and the reason why becomes clear.
There is also resolution and a great deal of love, so if you're feeling brave enough, it's a real corker of a story!
The narration was superb!

I didn’t think after listening to Archers Voice that the author could write anything as good, but this is a VERY close second, maybe even equal to. My heart constantly broke for Jack in the flashbacks. The plot twists were fantastic and not ones I saw coming.
This book needs as much recognition as AV!!!

The characters are so strong and beautifully portrayed. The world that is created on ‘paper’ will leave your mind building a backdrop that even your eyes will think they see! It just feels so real!
This was so perfectly performed. I do strongly believe that a good narrator will enhance even the best story! So you can only image the ear/mind-gasm this combination creates!
