Summary

He's everything she didn't know she wanted. She's everything he thought he could never have.

The last thing I expect when I walk into The Hawkeye Club is to fall head over heels in lust. It’s supposed to be a rescue mission. I have to get my baby sister off the pole, into some clothes, and out of the grasp of the pussy peddler who somehow manipulated her into stripping. But the moment I see Savage Hawke and verbally spar with him, my ability to remain rational flies out the window and my libido takes center stage. I’ve never wanted a relationship - my time is better spent focusing on taking down the scum running this city - but what I want and what I need are apparently two different things.

Danika Eriksson storms into my office in her high heels and on her high horse. Her holier-than-thou attitude and accusations should offend me, but instead, I can’t get her out of my head or my heart. Her incomparable drive, take-no-prisoners attitude, and blatant honesty captivate me and hold me prisoner. I should steer clear, but my self-preservation instinct is apparently dead - which is exactly what our relationship will be once she knows everything. It’s only a matter of time.

The truth doesn’t always set you free. Sometimes, it just royally screws you.

Swoon!!! This book was a suggested listen and I am so glad I took the time. Savage Hawke has to be one of the best book boyfriends ever. Savage and Danika has a quick meeting when she storms into his office. Her mission is to protect her sister, not find the man she is working for attractive. But the chemistry is definitely there and their relationship a fun and exciting journey. Gwyn McNamee has crafted a mystery inside the book while letting us get to know Gabe, Nora and the rest of Savage's family. Their banter is funny and I love the protectiveness they all have for each other. Now let's talk Savage and Danika. Savage is unbelievably swoony. Broken yet confident, this businessman has it going on. But when it comes to relationships, he needs some guidance. Danika is a tough cookie! She is high spirited and independent, but when it comes to Savage, all bets are off. It's a listen you will love, and make you want to know more of these incredible family members.

The narration is fantastic, only making the story even better. Yvonne Syn is Danika and she truly dials into her personality. The feisty, stubborn and ambitiousness all come through with her edgy narration. Alastair Haynesbridge creates a character in Savage that makes you just want to be near him. Warm, alpha protective, dominant and exciting, Savage comes through with a voice you can't help but love. This was an amazing collaboration and I can' wait for more.

SWOON!

The minute Dannika meets Savage there’s a connection but they both act stupidly and try to ignore it. When they do get together sparks fly but there’s things that are going to either tear them apart or bring them closer together.

This is a great action packed book. I feel that there’s lots more these characters can give so I’m hoping for more from them. A brilliant performance from both Yvonne and Alastair.

So with Savage Collision being my first book by Gwen Mcnamee, I have to say that her writing style is pretty interesting. I liked the steamy parts but as well as the angst and drama parts. It had enough emotional parts that made you really feel.

Kind of interesting

I'm a total audible newbie so it took me a little while to get used to listening rather than reading, as well as ignoring the accent (I'm UK). I found Yvonne, the female narrator, easier to listen to, not that Alastair did a bad job, he has a gorgeous voice, but I'm used to hearing *my* internal voice when I read, so it was just getting used to something different .

However the excellent writing, fast paced story and fantastic characters soon drew me in and held my attention. I loved Savage and Danika, their burning chemistry scorched my ears - beware of who else is in listening distance! I highly recommend this both as an audio book and as a printed book.

Fantastic story
