Story
Life was bad and getting worse in the depths of Salvation. It did not take the people of Level Three long to realize that the only reason they had been spared from the cataclysm was to become a slave class. Now, a single accident has changed everything. Fear is spreading like a virus. Rumors become facts the moment they’re spoken. Neighbor is turning against neighbor. And time is running out fast. For most, this signals the end. For Callie and her friends, there is just one hope, but to find it, they’re going to have to fight through the most terror-filled night of their lives.

Story
It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on. The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.

As anarchy and civil war took grip across the globe, Britain was quarantined. The press was nationalized, and martial law, curfews, and rationing were implemented. It wasn't enough. An evacuation was planned. The inland towns and cities of the United Kingdom were to be evacuated to defensive enclaves being built around the coast and the Scottish Highlands and in the Irish Republic. For George Tull and the other residents of the Waverly-Price Retirement Home, walking to the coast is not an option.

Review by The Disney Bookworm
- By Charlotte on 10-01-22
Summary
Fast paced, action-filled, character-driven story of the fight for survival against overwhelming odds.
From the multi-award-winning author Christopher Artinian comes the third part of the post-apocalyptic zombie series: Safe Haven.
Civilization has crumbled in a matter of months. Now, fast-moving zombies and merciless raiders wreak havoc over the post-apocalyptic wasteland. Nowhere is safe. Death and terror lurk in shadow and daylight. The weak will fall, and only the strongest will survive.
Mike Fletcher and his family have battled through this dystopian wilderness to try and find sanctuary in the northwest region of Scotland. They thought they had succeeded. But now, a new horror has found them. When the odds are insurmountable...when the fear is uncontrollable...when the pain of loss is unbearable, there are just two choices: fall to your knees or stand taller than you ever have before.
This war will decide the future. This war will decide everything.

Thrilling!
Safe Haven is one thrilling zombie series, and it keeps getting better and better with each book. Reap of the Righteous, the third book in the series is, cleverly composed, action-packed, intense, unpredictable, and the edge of your seat exciting. The cast is brilliant, diverse, well-rounded, and capable. The interactions and reactions to situations are realistic, and the dialogue flows naturally. Artinian's creativity shines through his exceptional character and plot development, making the series one of my favorite in the zombie apocalypse genre.
Kim Bretton's narration was spot-on; her portrayal of the characters, animation, and energy is superb. She brought the story to life and made it more engaging. The series is awesome! I was thoroughly immersed from start to finish, and I'm definitely recommending it.

very happy with the story as it ties up quiet few ends and leaves the group in a safe and happy place. no spoilers but sad to lose a one person in particular but not from the rams. I particularly liked how the author wrote Fry's decent into madness, really liked that bit, opps that was a spoiler.

Of Rats and Men (shudder!)
"Sisters are doing it for themselves" I had this song playing in my head as I read about Emma & Lucy's adventure. Emma finds a bit of Mike's fighting spirit and manages to remove that stick from her @rs% and discover a spear! I laughed my head off at Mike & Shaws male bonding, and was totally horrified at Fry's depravity! Please keep them coming Christopher Artinian you are a genius!

Wow the incredible mind of Christopher Artinian is an amazing thing. I have come to realise with his Sae Haven books are not only addictive but in places could be true , I’m referring to the degeneration of humans and what we would do for family. Mike is a hero and fights for his family against tyrants and Rams. I absolutely love this series and hope he has many many more to come.

the struggle continues
Reap of the Righteous is the 3rd book in the Safe Haven series and continues the struggle of Mike and his family and friends (both new and old) as they fight to survive in the time of the zombie apocalypse. Like in the previous volume it is raiders more than zombies that Mike and Co. have to worry about most, especially since the main leader of the raiders is twisted and seems to be going completely nuts. Once again Kim Bretton does an excellent job bringing the characters and action to life.

I love post-apocalyptic books and really enjoying this zombie series (reanimated corpses RAMS). Love the characters of Mike Fletcher, sister Emma, and step siblings of Sammy and Jake, and their extended family, Lucy and Jenny as well as many more likable characters as well as Humphrey the dog. A couple of spoilers; Daisy the goat helps Mike find Jake and Lucy and Emma are kidnapped by Fry There is a lot of zombie action in this one and keeps getting better. A Sanctuary?
Mike and his family have finally made it to northern Scotland where they hope to find sanctuary; however, when a person is in the middle of a zombie apocalypse is any place really safe? The excitement just never ends in this book. The author has written characters that have a very believable arc and I appreciate that a lot. I find this series very entertaining and I recommend it to others. Kim Bretton's narration is great and she adds to the book's entertainment by her performance style.
