Touch her & die vibes and a very possesive hero. She fell first but he followed right along with her. Initially Devlin pulled away from her worried that she would be in danger from his past & he also feared his boss wouldn't accept him.
In a desperate attempt to sabotage an arranged marriage Eriu meets Konstantine the Russian Pakhan in a s*x club which he owns & one thing led to another & Devlin & Eriu had no choice but to acknowledge their feelings for each other. Secrets & betrayals were revealed& they finally got their HFN.
Konstantine was very intriguing he had such a huge presence in every scene & I wander if we are going to get his book & maybe Suzanne (the girl who was at the virgin auction), I would read that book lol 😍.
I was fine reading this without having read the other books as some side characters & storylines mentioned had happened in previous books, I don't think I missed anything important related to this couple.
A few things annoyed me in this book Eriu leaving the apartment when she knew she was in danger resulting in something happening .
Eriu going to s*x club twice without Devlin knowing when we are told that in the past she got kidnapped after having drugged Devlin which resulted in both of them being in trouble. These stupid actions I just couldn't deal with them as it was obvious she will be in danger so no thanks.
I did not love the twist & the epilogue was bluh

The FMC was freaking annoying, incredibly naive, dense, irresponsible and to stupid for words.
The MMC kept blaming himself for "disappointing everyone and not being able to protect the fmc".
Which was 100% beyond his control because "YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!"
The evil Mastermind/Villain speech was unbelievably cliché and super Cringy.
The narrators were meh, not really a fan of the female narrator.
Mmale narrator was fine, could use some work on his Irish accent.
