Summary

An ancient sword points the way to an ages-old conflict and eternal love.

Nika Graves was excited about the Viking exhibit at her museum. She wasn’t counting on the star artifact, the Rune Sword, being stolen by a vampire. She certainly wasn’t counting on falling for the Swedish SOG agent who had been assigned to protect it. With Erik Thorvald at her side and time running out, Nika has to take the Rune Sword back before the vampires—the Draugr—bring their king back to life. Her life is at risk, but when she finds out that Erik is keeping some secrets of his own, her heart just might end up being the biggest casualty of the fight.

Viking vampires? Ancient Norse gods? That’s more than Nika bargained for—but it’s what she got. Now on the run with Erik, a sexy vampire turned Special Forces operative, she’s up to her eyeballs in magic, danger and desire. The Rune Sword holds the key to awakening a long-dead vampire king.

Can Nika and Erik keep him in his grave where he belongs?

Rune Sword is a standalone with a "happily ever after" ending and no cliffhanger. This audiobook also contains several additional bonus stories to enjoy!

Warning: This book contains graphic scenes of a sexual nature and is not intended for listeners under 18.

A completely different take on Vampires

Sometimes you just want a quick read, with a rapid story conclusion, yet still with storyline and characters with depth and this audiobook successfully delivers these requirements. Despite being short, there is still good world building, a full storyline including mystery, action and romance. H and h are both interesting, strong characters with a believable relationship and a HEA. I also enjoyed the completely different take on Vampires.

Great story, good twists

Great story, very well written and with some good twists as well as a few predictable lines of the story. Good ending too

Viking

I enjoyed the narration of John Austin

This is a quick and entertaining story about Nika doing her job then having her whole life change, by a robbery. Nika will discover that vampires do exist, and some of them are evil and some are not so bad.
Action packed. I never knew what was going to happen from min to the next

Clean Vampire Romance?

Excellent storyline, characters, development and action but it's somewhat lacking in the sex department. The authors appear to shy away from properly describing the sex scenes, prefering on a poetic summary of the event, making the novel less appealing. The lack steamy scenes disappointed me to the point it was hard to finish the book but I did because the storyline was interesting.

Nice take on Vampires

This story is another take on Vampires bringing in Viking history. I did enjoy this story that’s full of twists and turns, betrayal of sorts and of course you can’t have a story like this without a bit of romance. Overall an enjoyable story. And the narrator did a great job.
